Title: Regarding PS3 mod compatibility
Post by: Denny on July 24, 2007, 11:38:48 PM
I just have to made a thread about this after lurking through another thread.

http://kotaku.com/gaming/e307/epic-talks-unreal-mods-on-ps3-278648.php

I was trying to get a link up to a video interview with one of the tech guys from Epic but Gamespot is down. Anyhow, they're clearly saying that all that's needed to get a mod running on PS3 is a matter of converting some files and transfering them somehow to the PS3. (apart from controls and graphical optimisation they claimed it was all that was needed) They're currently testing to transfer files with memory sticks but they're trying to remove the PC part of getting mods onto your PS3.

So guys, why not have it on the PS3 as well? You just have to do some tweaking.

No more confusion. Peace out. :)

I personally think that it would be an okay idea to put it on consoles.  I know a bunch of people who would pay for an online only game.
