We need animation referance of the merc in motion.
Can 2 of you guys record a video of the merc doing all of his animations?
They need to be front and side.
It needs 2 people because Spy needs to record vid.
Also, will need referance from 3rd person camera of merc. This camera is viewable when merc dies and can view his partner.
I can, when do you need me? Or do you want me to get a friend to do it and upload?
Well, you can record it from spectator, when you join a server. It would make things easier/ clearer, because you get more fps when you're on spectator - more frames of the animation.
I'm very busy this weekend, but if anyone wants to team up with me later we could do it. Just PM me or something. And you should make a list of all the animations, and all the animations that's been recorded, so that it's easier for us..

Charging
Melee hit
Berserk
Sniping
Sniping while moving
Fragging
Placing a mine
Humiliation move(?)
Also I think mercs have 3 different dying animations
I hope you have more animations than CT. Those got pretty old. I hope you fix that when you are spy and you kill a merc, you don't have to do that bullshit slowly put him down animation. That got me killed more times than anything really...
It's just how it goes Papa, if anything you should only escape instantly with a knockout to give you some incentive to use it. Kill him and risk dying or KO him and get away kind of situation because at the minute the KO is seldom used.
and please for the love of god dont make the mercs head a solid object which spies can stand on!
When you dropped a merc u'd stand on his head until the animation was completed. Make the spy fall normally, the merc should have fallen to the ground at the speed the spy was falling anyway.
Plus the should be 3 drop tech deaths for moving forward and backward so it looks cooler :p
Take the mario bros animation from CT's singleplayer. It was cool - BAM! a kick in the head.

Razor suggested this on SCLamers and I think it's an excellent idea: you should add healing and trap removal animations that take in the realm of 2-5 seconds to complete. This applies for both spies and mercs.

That would annoy me no end. though if there arent any use problems like there were in pt/ct it might be alright.

Though i would like to see the "choked to death" animation shorted to the length of the neck break, lots of time when i would have had time to escape had the merc had more health i've ended up dying because i was in the slowly letting the body fall to the ground animation.

The point would be to make the mercs think about when to go remove bullets/get heal, and make spies take cover before doing so.
I would like it if it were possible. It would have a pretty big effect on gameplay. Instead of quickly grabbing some health it would take a while. Maybe the animation would take as long as it does to fully heal.
Or make the wounded spy raise a part of his armour for his partner to make an injection.

Or some people have school and work that takes up most of their time. If Binary had x-fired me, I would've been more than happy to help. I also know how to frap, but not how to convert it into something smaller.
I'm committed...But judging once commitment based on a "merc video" seems superficial. Give me something to do. What else do you guys need?
