The forum url here is "projectstealth.splintercellnetwork.com"
To be 100% not affiliated with splinter cell, don't you think it would be a wise move to change the name away from splinter cell? Is there a way to transfer the forum data just to a new host name?
projectstealth.org ;)
Even when you type that in it goes to "projectstealth.splintercellnetwork.com"
I know. Thats because I own the domain so and they own the site, so all it does is a redirect. I'll look in the options now and see if you can ghost the URL. I won't do it of course, because splintercellnetwork may want their site in the name.
(advertising)
or they may not :P
Some [insert words here] have taken all good names. I'll have to go to the secondary options. =/ It's no biggie yet. But we'll do it eventually.
Cool. Just keepin an eye out.
frvge. I can change the name servers or whatever if you'd like?
Auth code or whatever.

You didn't mention that the people who have already registerd the good names are members of this community. Not sure why they wanted/needed to register them though.
The Moooollleeeyy!
Jokin, I just did it before any wierd people do who will actually charge PS to use them or UBI to stop us completely :P I'd happily hand the domain over to the owner of the site so it can be used properly.
It's not necessary yet.
When/if we need it, I'll reimburse you, of course.
lol Ã,£3?
Hardly anything it can be counted as my "contribution" :D
No reason to focus on a domain for forum, we better get a site, it will help new people.
btw frvge, do you make backups?
Sometimes. Usually making a complete backup isn't practical. We have a HUGE amount of raw data. Think multiple GBs. And it's zipped, and that takes up a lot of processing power, which slows the server down + it adds the space of the backup.
Only dev post counts are backed up. Tough luck for the rest of you if someone sneezes in the server room.
I should add that that's only true for PS. Other sites on the server are backupped more often, but that's usually < 100MB.
