ok .. Ive informed certain players from x-box community that have tried to convert from Xbox to pc and they
are livid fans of this project ... cause if we get that kinda support then , there will be people playing this as a religion, i talked to one xboxer and he told me one dude quit school to play chaos theory.
All depends on Epic, Microsoft and our time.
it wont happen but just if your able to use the controller for spy just until i get used to the controls of the damn keyboard and mouse.

lebron your wrong, because with Xbox360 controller if you use the software pinacle you can play chaos theory with the 360 controller
I'm already getting used to PC controls again. They really aren't that hard. Especially because you can tailor them to your own preferred buttons. But if I find that I want to use the 360 controller then I can use it. You just have to plug it into the usb or if you have a wireless controller you have to get a reciever for your pc. They are like 20 bucks.

No papa you can use ur 360 controller .. using Pinacle profiler 4
No. It needs to have a reciever for the wireless controllers. I only have wireless controllers, 2 of them. The plug and play wires don't transmit to the pc and you can't control it using that. SO, I am going to get the little reciever so it can transmit what I'm pressing the PC.
thats true, the plug and charge for the wireless only transmit power not data, u need the reciever to use wireless controllers with ur pc. i use mine for an N64 emulator :)
n64? But wha? wait, a wireless n64 controller? lmao If that's what you meant. But yeah, that is true.
I think he means he used his 360 controller as the controller for a n64 emulator.
I don't really understand why you can't just learn PC controls, but whatever floats your boat I guess.

I said that I am getting used to the PC style of controls. If I ever feel that I'd like to go back to using analog sticks then I could do it if I wanted to. That's all I was saying.
I already have a wired 360 controller that i use for my n64 emu. There is so much crap that it takes to get a game on xbox360, you can't do that with no budget.
Do you guys know if the n64/playstation were the first controllers with analog sticks? Not including atari controllers of course... Just curious.

Sorry, that wasn't aimed at you, but rather the whole thread in general. Sorry if that was offensive.
Ah no it wasn't offensive. I was just curious why you said that is all. And yeah I agree with you. Keyboard controls are super easy once you get the hang of them. Not to mention using a mouse is way cool. I am still better at analog sticks but there are some cool things you can do with a mouse that you just can't do with a regular controller.

works on my xbox S controller. used a usb extension lead to create an adapter so if i want to use it on my xbox again, i can just put the adapter on and play :P
i'm not sure if the xbcd software recognises x360 wired controllers, might want to look that up.
MS has there own drivers for the 360 controllers, the wired drivers are now packaged with vista

As far as this goes you can use XNA its free and games made with this can be used on PC and XBOX 360 and the games can be played between the two systems. Also you are free to do pretty much anything, its all C# and directX code.

What are you talking about? As far as I can make out, he is talking about games, not controllers.
Is there a reason why this went completely off topic? Just wondering. ;)
Because I did not understand the original post at all. Was it talking about making this compatible with xbox? Didn't seem like it. If so, it's not needed. Because it would be cool for me and a few other console guys, but that's about it. There is an abysmal community on xbox right now. Everytime I get on there is only about 4 games to join.
Exactly. There is no needed reason, or way to get this on the xbox. Just get the pc version.

you dont need 3rd party programs for XNA :p
Don't you need to pay $100 to get XNA working on the 360? $100! And 360 developers have kits that they test their games on, don't you need to buy that? Won't your games crash and burn (the xbox) without it?
As far as I know everything can be done on the pc for free.
Yes there is some requirements for XNA on xbox, I don't believe it is $100 tho.
I just got the trial version for pinnacle 4. It's terrible. It might just be for me only, but I took my controller for a few games online and it was so unresponsive it was ridiculous. I couldn't move the camera with my right analog stick quickly and it wouldn't edit the controls to the right keys that I was telling it to. My controller is completely fine, nothing wrong with it. Any other suggestions to get my xbox controller working WELL with CT? In the meantime, I'm trying to get the hang of pure mouse/keyboard. Not going to well.
this site seems to have some answer about pinnicale http://mattbrett.com/archives/2005/11/configuring-your-xbox-360-controller-for-windows/ you may want to change the deadzone
Don't know whether or not the "ones high above" chooses to allow PS on Xbox360 and/or PS3, but UE3 certainly supports both...
I know that there is a packager for the PS3 for UT3 mods... Not sure about Xbox 360 though...
I thought the PS3 gets certain treatments?
Nm what I said about pinnacle, I got it working. :D

Both the xbox 360 wired controller "for windows" and the xbox 360 wired controller (for xbox 360) are identical so all you need to do is download the drivers, and u can save yoiurself some cash.
Driver is here: http://www.soft32.com/download_184743.html (http://www.soft32.com/download_184743.html)
So now you can play with standard xbox 360 wired controller:D
Edit: Just wondering if its possible to make rumble work with the controllers, I know they did it with FIFA 08 on pc, maybe would help bring the xbox people over
Rumble is not hard. Just useless imo. lol
Rumble is a nice effect. I know vibration doesn't sound like much but it puts the chaos into your hands. ;D
How about the devs worry about that once the game is done?
This has nothing to do with the devs. Only the pinnacle program getting force feedback to work. :D
