And because you mentioned it, what servers are you using? Gamespy like in UT3 or its p2p?

@OP, the moment the devs start making money out of the project, they will have to pay EPIC Games for UDK's license.

I think it will be easier if we list the UNbalanced thinks in dm so far. Sadly, I cant think of anything... it was perfect for me...

If we are talking about the old school DM on Deftech Belew (rifles and outside only) I cant really think of any unbalanced things. ::) Considering in PS there wont be any "host" kills. The only think I can come up with is that sometimes as spy its too easy just to jump/roll on merc's head for insta kill. But that goes for big open spaces like outside of deftech.

It looks so damn good! The running animation could benefit from some more motion, but over all - I CANT WAIT TO SEE MOAR!!!111oneone ;D
Also the sound in the background is amazing, hope we get something like that in the menu and even ingame.

If you really wanna get into UDK I will recommend you to visit 3dbuzz' web site. They have a lot of free VTMs in there. When you get used to the UnrealED you will see that its more powerful then most user friendly click and drag editors :)

How was it? Only one word - awesome!
First we got nice walk trough the new [haha, almost], which have some really good features and overall looks really badass 8)
frvge showed us every bit of detail on the map. And believe me, there is a lot of details putted in there. From the asset models to the textures, resolution, mapping, art and the atmosphere as a whole. (bio... *cough*...shock...*cough* Well, Lennard knows what Im talking about anyway :D) If you ask me, even the big developers' teams can't put so much detail in just one map. It is truly a beautiful next-gen game. There were some surprises too, one of which kinda bring back good old memories to me. ^^
In the meantime Lennard revealed a good amount of technical data from all game aspects, infrastructure, gametypes, framework extendability. Only new and very good info. :) There were few surprises here as well, but Im not the one who should talk about that :P
After all, I can't wait to experience the game by myself. And that day is not too far :o

P.S. frvge is great commentator! Was fun just listening to him :)

Public Discussion / Unreal Development Kit Released
November 05, 2009, 08:37:35 PM
QuoteEpic has announced the release of the Unreal Development Kit today! The UDK is a free for non-commercial use Unreal Engine 3 runtime that allows you to create your own games using UE3 without the enormous expense of an Unreal Engine 3 license!
More here.

Just wanted to share this with you. I think it will be interest for the PS dev team and hope this will take the project to a new level as a game, not mod :)
