why does this make me think of the very first Rainbow Six game when you got to plot waypoints for your team mates to travel?

Public Discussion / Re: Remote hacking still in??

I agree. Remote hacking would be made so much better without the proxy sensor. Either that, or the merc could have a proxy sensor that can be placed alot like a remote mine, but cannot be carried.

I also hated that the terminals were always in the same spot every game. It should be randomized. This would reduce the feeling of the matches feeling the same, and it would shift tactics on both sides.

SCDA had alot of interesting things that should seriously be put future projects. Even though the sum of most of those parts wasn't good enough for some of you, it's just a few more additions to the already awesome progress.

PS- I could see this getting a release on steam and possibly XBLA and PSN. It could easily sell for 1200 to 1600 spacebucks. I'm just saying. This project needs more recognition.

I just feel that, because how serious this project is, it needs some backing. But only somebody trust worthy.

Hey gang.

Been A while since i've been here to check on progress. Just got back from recovering from the cancer that I got from playing Conviction. It was a hard fight indeed....

I've seen some of the new media and noticed that the spy was interacting with some laptops.. Is Remote interaction with certain objects in the map still a go? One of my main peeves about CT is hacking a terminal at close proximity. Almost always met with a grenade at my feet..

One thing I thought of was perhaps a Spy would be required to physically connect some sort of wireless module to the device via USB before he could initiate a hack remotely. Another idea within that would be the possibility for the spy could or could not be allowed to move and act freely  as long as he maintained a line of sight and a certain proximity? I'm just thinking that hacking objectives could be more..... objective..

Lets be honest here... Please don't flame me for this but.... Love it or hate it, SCDA did bring some GREAT ideas to the table that far surpassed CT. I (For one) am against giving a spy a shocker weapon simple because of how annoying it is. But i could get around that.

I absolutely love what i'm seeing from you guys though. Every time I lose faith in stealth games in general, I come here to again feel uplifted at this games possibilities.

Now.. you people really need to get picked up by a publisher.... After all this progress, you deserve it.

Sounds to me , someone doesn't take the proper precautions like.. using heart beat to scan the area before going ahead and hacking ..or placing a spy bullet near the closest location of a merc to know when to stop hacking.. =/..
Precaution isn't the issue. Variety and continuity is.

Why has this game not been picked up by anybody yet?? Have you thought about sending your concepts to Valve??

I'm ALL for remote hack and activity. Standing right on an objective in CT was lame.

I love this thread!

My only real question though is the spy design. In the conceptual artwork, he's more cyborg-ish with 3 green dots on the eye-piece. But in the render, he's more lizard-ish with a horizontal eye-piece. I thought IMHO that the original design was better. what happened?

Open source!
2: On actual modding, any anti-cheat system would(and should) send a nuke your way, unless modding is supported.
How awesome would that be!? ^m^ >.< ^m^

I think a DA/CT hybrid would be awesome. Take out all the goods of both, and mix them up. I couldn't help remembering that a couple of times, i wished I could play DA on some of CT's maps, like the vault.

do u mean bank?
Yeah, the one with the gold storage vault.

and HOLY CRAP :o. So you guys dont like Bank! :-\ LOL. I just thought it wouldn't be bad on DA.

what WOULD make it a copy-right issue? I guess i was confused. Is it kinda the same thing, IE George Romero's Dawn of the Dead suing Dead Rising for the 360, "FOR BEING SIMILAR"

I'm just glad you guys are over there. Hopefully you guys finish this thing and i get a better computer to run it before the Ragnarok comes LMFAO
