This is something thats easy to fix.
There is currently a Thief mod for the first Unreal Tournament named Thievery UT that uses a system that the more the thief players move into darkness, the more transparant (and in total darkness eventualy invisible) they become, ive played the mod several times and i have to say i love it, also you can with this feature easily implent a light meter and the mercs wont be able to see the silhouette's of spies sitting in total darkness wile there is a lamp at the end of the hallway giving away theyre position.

Though this is a smart fix, it might look a bit ugly for the spy player to suddenly see his spy disapear, though maybe it is possible for the spy player not to let his spy turn transparant wile the mercs do see it that way.

To keep the conversation going, i was thinking about this to aid mercs,

battery operated lantarn, allows the Merc to drop battery operated lantarns that can either light at a given location or light the area around the battery but has its light intensity reduced a bit. (balancing reasons.)
Would be nice if it would run on a battery that can actually drain itself wile the light is on, a spy could remove the battery (Merc could easily replace it.) to use it as energy for his shocker gun.

Quite usefull for mercs for making theyre patrolling/searching job easyer.

add a bit more 007'ish sounds to it, a little bit of techno and shock sounds (you know, those sounds you suddenly hear in horror movies when a character suddenly stands face to face with the killer.) and imo it would be perfect, but thats what i think.:)

Also im still in love with the SCPT music, these are best example of something id love to hear:

Its the same as a spy bullet, but instead of showing where the merc is, it generates the alarm at a different location when you happen to trigger one, definatly handy for a stealth spy:)


Edit: By the way, this idea just came to me,

Personally i hate fighting aggro spies, i personally realy get my kick from trying to find spies that are almost invisible, and when i find them it realy gives me the feeling of being undefeatable!:D

Ofcouse there certainly are people that rather face off against Aggro spies because of the action, and vice versa.

Both groups often get mixed up in servers in SC:CT servers hoping the other team are the players they love to play against, and when that isnt the case some players start complaining and mocking the other team.


In short:
Aggro or Stealth marks that a player can mark himself and his server with so people of both groups (The ones that like stealth more and the ones that like aggro more) can see what servers they want to join and who they want to play with.

Good kebab id rather not have you edit this post cause i got confused with my own words about 2 or 3 times and i wouldnt like writing everything over again, thanks in advance xD

Sound meter: the spies of glowing tubes on their body...this is the intended sound meter -it blinks when you ping the merc radar

M.A.P. Bullet:  -new idea

Sentry bots: we do not have the resources to program an AI, this is just a mod


Hacking interceptor mine:  DA wifi-hacking is in consideration, but as an optional gadget, and not a replacement to CT hacking


custom characters: a nice to have feature, but not for version 1.0
