I actually hope that there isn't Versus in the next Splinter Cell game. Just so I don't have to decide between playing that, or Project Stealth.

Oh there is going to be one, they have already talked about it long ago but who knows , I personally think they will fail again due to the suits breathing down thier neck to make a profit.

If there is any SvM it's probably going to be dumbed down. No way are they going to make anything that's as frustrating, challenging and difficult as SvM. They think they'll attract someone that way and there's also the bunch of people that complain that it's too difficult. UBI is nothing like it used to be, now it's all about money.

So if 10.000 people want spy vs merc, but 100.000 want something "CoD-like", then guess what they will choose...

Well that didn't work very well with SCC. SCC only lasted about 2 weeks in the xbox live top ten while SCCT was always competing against giants like Halo 2 back when SCCT was alive. The irony is that SCCT is older and therefore should be inferior but it isn't. UBI is never going to beat Halo or COD, they tried it with Rainbow Six Vegas 2 and it failed terribly.

I never played Conviction. In my opinion it's way too easy, it's either just pressing a button to take down the guys or marking them and shooting. I realize that in SCCT enemies could be taken down with a press of a button as well but the difference was that if an enemy found out you were there they'd try to get away from you or their friends would notice and would shoot you. This is for SP of course. As for the MP, I never liked spy vs spy in DA Xbox1 version I doubt I would like it in SCC. The customization was fine and it would've been great to have had customizable mercenaries and spies when SvM was still alive.

I thought people didn't post nonsense in this forum. I'm guessing this is a joke...

They won't bring it back, no matter how many petitions anyone makes. First, UBISOFT didn't put the servers down it was Microsoft. Second, if it's almost impossible to get UBISOFT to do anything at all imagine how much more difficult it's going to be to get Microsoft to do anything, not that they're worse than UBI IMO.

Lol at what people said about Conviction.

Guys, Halo reach won the innovation award, and call of duty won the multiplayer award. I think it's safe to say that these awards are a joke.

Halo Reach isn't innovative, its the same thing as the past halos with some changes. Call of Duty is ridiculous, the worst part is that people who play that actually think it's realistic. These kinds of games are the reasons why things like SvM don't attract large crowds. Nobody wants a challenge anymore...

No i disagree, I think its because people are so used to being spoon fed crap that they don't know what a real good game is anymore.

That works too, I knew plenty of people that played COD and played SCCT on xbox. They only played deathmatch and they were also terrible.

We are now a standalone game, based on the UDK. :)
Ok, thanks that is all.

So what is this exactly, a separate game or a mod. I don't know if I'm correct or not but I remember that it was going to be a mod accesible from some game that used Unreal Engine 3 (I think) or something. Also what does UDK stand for?

I remember this one guy who thought it was a good idea to play one spy and one merc and against the other spy and the other merc, when they started doing that, I just left before the game started.
Hey, with PS all the options are open.  Things like this could be possible for unique game modes.

It's not that I didn't like it's just that it didn't work correctly in CT. The only way to distinguish who was who was by communication. I found it stupid and boring in CT though, but maybe that was just because of the guy who was hosting. Also if it ever comes to happen it should be more than just killing each other. I'd prefer if it had objectives, maybe objectives only mercs can complete and objectives only spies can complete.

I really hated when the mercs had shotguns and started camping or the fact the only that "deathmatchers" used where Aquarius, Deftech and Warehouse. I really didn't like when they used warehouse which was probably 90% of the time I ever played deathmatch. However it doesn't matter to me if they add deathmatch or not. The people who played it were annoying on xbox. I remember this one guy who thought it was a good idea to play one spy and one merc and against the other spy and the other merc, when they started doing that, I just left before the game started.

I never played it, so what was so bad about DA's SvM? And now that Argus mentioned it, most people don't even know about the generation-six-version of Double Agent's multiplayer. Complete and utter $#!^. You think SC:C's Spy vs Spy is bad? :D

DA's SvM is retarded beyond so many levels. First spies don't get shock guns/tasers, then they get to choose from four gadgets which are flasbangs, smoke grenades, spy detector jammer or something and syringes. Objectives aren't like in CT, there's only terminals and the spies get remote hacking devices. Mercenaries get explosive drones, frag grenades, spy detector and a crappy EMF. The worst of those is the spy detector, there was no point in hiding in shadows since the detector tells the merc were the spy is. It's SvM simplified, they added one more player slot making it 3v3 but the only reason that was added was so that if one of the spies would be bad then the other could help out unless that spy was just as terrible. Same idea with the mercs. The models also looked like crap IMO, spies looked like cyberpunks or something and mercs looked like high tech rednecks.

Even if SCDA sucked to play, it still had many options that were awesome, like better movements and sweet COSHTUMEZ :)

I don't know really, I never liked the appearances. the last merc costume looked like a football player or something and the spies never really looked good. The movement was fine except for spies being too fast at times, the grapple was also fine but who knows how that would've worked on CT anyways.

I bought DA, but I bought it for the SP. I thought the MP was going to be like SCCT's and then I found out it wasn't. I went back to CT. The old xbox/PS2 version of DA is better or at least the SP because it's multiplayer Spy vs Spy is absolute crap.

Conviction I didn't buy it's just incredible how much of it is actually the same as 24. Aside from that the MP is laggy just like every other UBI game that has come out lately. It's also the same ridiculous Spy Vs Spy crap. They even put some sort of mode where you get to fight waves of enemies. That company is going downhill or at least I hope it goes downhill but somehow it still has masses of brainless "fans" buying whatever crap UBI throws a them.

EDIT: Don't know what happened there

SOMEONE FINALLY SEES MY POINT *_* !!!!  , such poor souls that fall to that are such examples :

The saddest thing is that most of those people don't even know what they're saying.
