As far as camnet: remove special visions from it and allow the spies to shoot it out (merc sees static for 10 sec). This gives the spies two options:

1. You sneak by with camo
2. You shoot it out. Merc knows where you've been, but not exactly where you're going.

What about a scrambler Spek? It can scramble the camnet because there are high places you can get to. It might be a giveaway as to the scrambler's spot, but the scrambler can work on the other security devices. Would really maybe even be an optional chaff, b/c u can move around with it like hb sensor.

What about a reallly BRIGHT light which the spy would just shine into the camnet and blind the merc. It would be a give away for sure, but it'd be funny.

The cloud stays too long, lower it to 8s and your golden.  I'm still iffy on the slowing aspect.  While it may make it useful, it would make it incredibly annoying for spies.  Especially if it stays for over 10 seconds and completely blocks a doorway or chokepoint.

I agree, that would p*iss me off too.

I liked what Daybreak said, if you go slow, the poison spreads slower because not as much blood is running thro your body.

Haven't you had (i have for sure) many times where, if you could've gone slower beside the merc / mine etc. you wouldn't had died, but because the poison just kept depleting your health at the same rate as running you get killed.

It would be pretty realistic, as you increase the blood flow in your body by running, and if your walking / standing still the blood flow is slower thus allowing the poison to spread more slowly, giving you more time to wait for a partner / sneak beside the merc.

Also the time from point A to point B should be exactly the same when crouching slowly and running imo, that way you have a choice to make, to go slowly, but lose time to hack the objectives, or just run for it and hope you wont get killed by anything.

I agree but I think the screen should blur the more the poison seeps into your blood... SYmptoms, show the spy is sick somehow

Poisen should stay as it is, it is already fairly easy to heal as it is, so long as you have full hp when u get hit.

What does this bring to the table that cannot already be done through other equipment?

Sound pings on command. Snares provide sound that acts as interference, but they arne't truly a diversion. This thing would actually produce sound that the mercs may mistake for a real spy because you can have it produce the sound in a more realistic way, instead of just spamming reticule pings.

What Vega said.

Maybe you should be able to control your alarm snares rather than cams. Kind of like a remote controlled alarm snare. If not, then there shouldn't really be anything else.

Agree, with vega and west

Me too

What if, instead of being a weapon, it was a gadget. Instead of hacking objectives, it could only disable lights for a minute, and hack panels?

No one would use this.

I agree here.

Agreed.

Why not just add the OCP as standard, and take out the glove completely, the only reason anyone would take the glove IMO would be for the OCP, as the SS is way more powerful, even for stealth players, so why not just put it in the standard SS, and scratch the glove idea.

PS: Sorry if i sound harsh here, its just how i feel.

Thats not a bad idea actually.  It sounds harsh towards the glove, not the community, so your good  ;)

Hehe thats ok then, i didn't want to piss anybody off.

Spartacist says: Who's for the OCP just being put on the SS and scratching the glove?

Sorry havent read all of thread, but from what i gather some people dont want widescreen implemented. I think its abit stupid because people with bigger monitors have an advantage aswell. Things are bigger, easier to see. I recently upgraded from a 4:3 screen to a 16:10 one and it annoys me that i cant play CT in a proper 16:10 res. The advantage of a widescreen is nothing compared to someone playing at 640x480 and someone playing and 1600x1200 for example. You get a marginally wider HUD. But people with different size monitor's have the same "advantage". In all honesty i think the balance police have gone slightly mad. A game will never be 100% balanced because of factors like hardware, screen sizes, system setup's etc, so i'd suggest lets try and make the gameplay as balanced as possible so it can counter for all the hardware indeferences etc, but dont limit someone's choices just because they've got better stuff than you.

Finally. The advantage would be minimal, and would make everyone happy. Make the game more balanced in gameplay, not size of screens. If you do make a non-widescreen game, then you should also make everyone play at the same resolution, because you wouldn't want someone to have an advantage in seeing a merc. Also, make everyone do an eye examination so you see the screen the same way. And, make everyone play with a certain videocard, soundcard, and the same amount of ram.

You can not balance everything.

LOL, I'm glad someone is with me ;D.

It would feel uber cool on the gun, but its more suited to the glove. I just wish the new stealth gadget wasnt a glove, and something cooler^^.

Why not on the glove?  That's basically one of the glove's strong points and reasons to be implemented.  Now if you want to make a super ss then go ahead.  I'd rather have a choice.  It would be useless on CT maps because maps weren't designed for it to be useful because it wasn't in the game.   :D

The maps would just have to be designed so it can be useful.

It could be used in so many places on ct, Tea Room, Lunch, Steam, Jac.

No because you've taken it to extremes there buddy  :D. Some people like Spy traps, I dont so i dont take them. Simple as. And the SS and Glove are fairly balanced, its not like a rocket VS a water gun here.

Wanted_David, I guess everyone wants this gadget to cause immobility on spy using it.

Yeh thats the thing that would make it balanced. It would encourage TW aswell, which is good.

i still don't like the glove idea, but if there will be one, it is definitely the best place for the ocp.

Yeh i agree that would make the SS VS Glove more thingy. I might just take the glove for the ocp, its awesome. But then hey hey i cant fire nades, so its nice n balanced:)

the suggestions of some people like spekkio or mr.mic don't usually suck, so cut the crap. it's not me who's acting childish, it's morons like you.EDIT: removed bs from poll

on the ocp topic: it's use and balance totally depends on the map design, eg amount, sort and placement of passive security. for instance, it would be totally useless on most official ct maps. but i think that this idea has some potential and this could be a new coop move. but unless you give this gadget additional features, it would probably only be good as a permanent extra function of the ss.

it could work in tea security, in club, or in steam or jac.

PS: BS was moved within a second, it was accidently placed on the poll.
