No. Jumping should stay the same. If you are focussed on realism (which I don't see necessary for sweet games) a grown man jumping on another would still probably do some damage, no matter from what hight.

Stupid idea.

You're not understanding my point.

The spy only has two offensive techniques and this is one of them. It doesn't need to be nurfed anymore than the recovery time for standing. One thing about the drop though I hope you will both fall like in DA instead of floating above the mercs head while he fell like in CT.

Yeah, it was just an idea, usually when im losing on CT i just start droping on people to win tho. It seemed to easy for me.

there are two things i'd change about jumping mercs:
-dealing the same damage to the spy he would have gotten from falling that height without landing on a merc
-damage to the merc depends on height, just rolling over him does almost no damage (but KO time stays the same no matter of how/from which height u jump the merc; besides, ko timer has to be more reliable and a tiny bit longer than in ct)

Exactly.

First off I thought droping on people in CT was great and fun, but I personally do not think a merc buffed up, in heavy swat armor would die because of a spy landing on top of him. In CT, droping from almost any range would kill your target even if you were very close. In PS, if you guys decide to keep the "droping on your target" deal, you should consider how far you are from your target to determine what kind of damage is done.

-For example: If a spy is a pretty good distance in the air (like on a vent, or rooftop) and decides to drop on a mercenary, the spy would jump off and land on him. Upon landing on the mercenary, damage is dealt to the spy yet knocking out and dealing a high amount of damage to the mercenary as well. The spy gets to run off and hide, while the merc is knocked out and is hurt.

-To actually kill the mercenary by droping on him:  One way would be by killing yourself. The spy would have to be really high up, depending on the level of course, and would have to sacrifice himself to kill the merc. So there would be a draw back to killing a merc by droping on him, you and the merc would die.
Second way: There would be some type of combo you could use while droping, like pulling out a knife and thrusting that knife into the mercs head, and killing him. ( Not sure if this would be balanced or if this could even work.. There would have to be some type of combo you would have to hit on your controller or keypad to get it to work. Then again that is why i'm not on a development team =/. )

What I am mainly trying to get at is.. If you want to kill someone by landing on them, it has to be challenging to do. Either by the whole " i'm going to die if i do this" thing, or the combos you have to learn. Breaking necks is the main way you kill mercs. I have much better ideas to post later, this one is sort of lame. I only had time to post this idea, for it was the shortest of mine.

=) Peace.
