For both teams it has a bit of a risk to it. Spy kills a merc and taunts, he's losing time. Merc kills a spy and taunts, he's gambleing between humiliating his opponent and getting grabbed in the process :P Would be fun.

I don't think the game needs anything more than the merc laying on the spy with his gun.

IN fact, I honestly don't see the need for humiliation moves at all. I mean they're nice, but there's way better stuff the animators could be putting in.

Swapping weapon shoulders,  prone crawling animation and so forth.

Taunts don't really affect gameplay at all, and the novelty wears off fast.

LOL...speak for yourself. I use the taunt or humiliation move to waste the spies time. Especially if I know his buddy isn't around. This definitely adds to gameplay. Taunting the other players, which makes them angry and throws them out of whack, is pretty sweet.

Amen to that, and also fuckers need to stop using all these 3rd party programs, THE GAME WASN'T MEANT FOR THAT KINDA CRAP , TO TALK TO UR PARTNER WHILE HE IS DeAD  ? COME ON . =/. 

ENough said , but I think i know why PPl do it , not because they are douchebags , but if the soundquality is really good. they won't use it.

Further more nothing is more annoying then having to go through some song and dance of asking someone to unmute the bloody mics.
