High powered launcher and fuses

My idea is this. Make a gadget that allows you to fire nades in a line, making them explode on impact. This would let you provide support for your team mate from long ranges.

Also, my idea on fuses. Maybe in the gadget selection screen, you could set the fuse times for different nades. This wouldn't work for merc because the frag would be over powered, but thoughts? CONSTRUCTIVE criticism?

That's called a rocket launcher.

And we have rocket launchers planned.

Actually, we haven't

this is already possible with some aiming skills (hold higher; insta when hitting merc), and long shot nades also explode pretty soon after impact because of the flying time.
adding custom timers wouldn't improve the gameplay in any way as it's another random factor the opponents can't use for their calculations.
the only thing that could be changed for the better is lowering the spy nades timer slightely (~20% max), but it's definitely not needed.

Thats not random. You are confusing random with unknown. The thing is, there has to be unknown factors for both sides, and adding custom fuses makes little changes to the gameplay, while allowing a degree of customization to the nades.

Yeah... the rocket launcher... the ultimate stealth weapon... yeah it's up there with the flamethrower

I guess we might as well switch the name to Halo 4 ....

Halo 4? More like Call of Duty 5 in my opinion.

Call of duty 5 is going back to WW2, nub.  No High Powered Rocket Launchers or really awesome flamethrowers back then.  Of course, they did have them, but not high powered ones like we're discussing lol.

I think being able to choose your fuse time might be a nice to have little option, but it's not needed really.  Randomness caused by the player is never a bad thing Rambo.  But I do agree, it's kind of unnecessary because you can get a merc before he can react most of the time anyways.  Depends on your aim.

The only real good thing that would come from this is options.  Being able to set it to a higher timer might be pretty cool actually.  Think of launching a nade that has a timer of 7-10 seconds.  You set the timer to a certain time depending on the merc's location and it would go off before he sees it.  Meh, could lead to some interesting situations like guarding bombs like Tech Room in Aqua.  The spy could basically make the nade into a time bomb.  But really, that's about it.

if he has time to set up that nade trap crap, he should rather use it to place a sticky cam or begin hacking the objective some seconds earlier.

Farley4Fan

A merc expects sticky cams, does he not?  Plus, the spy could go anywhere while the timer is going down.  He wouldn't have to stay still to have it work.  But I'm not totally for the idea, just giving more freedom that could lead to SOME interesting situations, is nice.  As long as it is 1) good for gameplay (can be seen through testing) and 2) the devs have the time.  To some degree you are right btw, but neither of us totally know how it would really be.

kubanators idea would only add complexity where it clearly isn't needed. smoke and chaff last long enough so that you can place the nades before you start to hack (flash doesn't but that's one of it's unique features).

if sticky cams are that easy to foresee, tell me why they are in 99% of the competitive equipment loadouts and decide at least 50% of the games?
(probably you just lack pc experience on this topic just like on so many others. your trip wire suggestion clearly shows that you lack any understanding of sticky cams and their effect on gameplay anyways...)

There is a point to it. Changing the nade timer would let you shoot a nade across warehouse if you lengthened it, and quickly hit a passive defence if you shortened it. It adds pre-game planning.

Where do you see "foresee"? All I see is expect. Maybe you should do some reading before you post.

(probably you just lack reading comprehension just like on so many others. Your statement on "foresee" clearly shows that you lack any understanding of English and it's vocabulary.)

And what exactly is your point by bitching his english skills. Mine aren't better LOLLL.
