awesome stuff =)
great idea with having a spy not using electronics showe up in front of electric fields, this allows to implement some form of "ghosting" in places where it's good for the balance and adds some new depth to spy movement.
the map looks downright sexy, though it shows the monitor calibration problem quite clearly: watching it with the lcd in school, everything is fucking dark. watching it on my home lcd calibrated according to mr.mics guide, i can see almost everything. implementing some ingame-monitor calibration is great, but it won't stop some competitive players to turn up their gamma so i guess you gotta have unnaturally pitch-black shadows even if it has no nice grey transition.

Looks amazing, that screenshot of the level showing off the graphics was excactly what I wanted to see.

nope, PS will surely have a fixed gammasetting.

I would like to have seen one of the spies moving without any electric device on, but the merc in EMF for the exact purpose of trying to see the ghosting shadow. Very cool that if hes completely still hes invisible.

LennardF1989

Problem would be that people can just turn up the gamma and see spies hidden in the shadows. I have no idea how to prevent that, besides hiding a spy whne he's in the dark, which is a lame solution.

There would be no point. A spy is really invisible under EMF. There is zero color information change and no amount of movement or gamma-correction will change that.

it's quite easy to "adjust" gamma to your "needs" in the driver's menu or with some tool. i really have no idea how to prevent that besides making shadows in which you shouldn't be seen (or almost shouldn't be seen) pitch black.

YAYZ!  Now we can use ss while in front of something big that triggers emf!  Might lead to some good strategy.  :)
