I got an unexpected call from mr. AgentX_003

Apperently he is promoting the mod like a mofu. ;). I saw the few vids and screens and must say i'm really impressed with how this mod is coming along.

Might be strange for me to say, but i might actually play it. But dont feel like buying UTIII since that game is boring as hell with the exception of a LAN party.

Lack of level design layout I guess... and new stuff... and bombing run... and gametypes...

It is boring.

It's the standard recycled FPS without all the acrobatics that are present in Quake variants.

that pretty sums it up. The only gametype(s) i find intresting is CTF and maybe some occasional (T)DM

Pfff... duels and 5v5 Warfare are awesome. vCTF is also great, but it all depends on your map knowledge.

Also, When i installed Q3 lately, all the textures were a mix of pink, blue and green colour. Same happens in every other quake engine powered games -.-

You got the gametypes you like. I got the gametypes I like. I personally think that vehicle combat in an Ut game is balls.

On publics, yes. On set matches, it's awesome.

Huh? Acrobatics in Quake? Like... jumping?

UT3 blows Quake (everything) away.

Would you guys recommend buying UT3?  I know you'll all say yes cuz it's got the editor etc...  But is the game itself as good as they say?  I was gonna wait for it on xbox this June, but I'm thinking about getting it this week for PC.

In terms of Engine and Visual Quality, yes... in terms of Gameplays, Balance and Level Design... hell never. UT3 isn't really taking advantage of the controls, it's mostly all about opened space or corridors... lack of jumping, wall-jumping, crouching, covers and interactivity.

1. There is jumping.
2. There is the wall-dodge.
3. There is no crouching (i don't see a need for it, anyways).
4. The maps are filled with covers (that's why they arent just huge boxes).
Interactivity comes from the net play, so i don't see your point.

I guess he's just trying to sound smart now... there's no lack on these things in any way. There is even crouching btw ;).
