If the mercs can't jump I'll agro the fuck out of them. Jumping is the only way to counter 2 spies smoking, flashing and chaffing you so you can't see shit and you can't move and you get pushed and eventually grabbed. If you can jump this won't happen that easy. If there is going to be a way for mercs to deal with agroing spies better then I'd say jumping in the way of bunnyhopping isn't a needed option.

Let's make spies blow up no matter how close they are to a grenade, so there's no need for mercs to have skills. Just like you are discussing to remove the need of skill when trying to grab a merc.

unlike you neverdown knows what he's talking about when it comes to ct gameplay. there's not much skill involved in tazing a merc, running to him and spamming triple nades...

i'm not sure what you mean, but if you mean the ability for the host to grab a pushed-back (or recently charging the other spy) merc, i'd even make it a "feature" for clients. what i'd like to get changed is the distance to initiate a grab, it should really be like 5cm behind a merc's back, not 40cm from it's left. combined with a boosted tazer and less lag/better mouse implementation, this could make aggro so much harder that it's an option to remove the bunnyhopping possibility. it also depends on the mt vision and the exact properties of flash/smoke/chaff...

No. I meant that the merc should be able to turn around to avoid being grabbed.
Spy bashed -> Merc cant do anything -> Grabbed.
Spy bashes -> Merc turns to avoid being grabbed/ berserks/ has something to do -> Spies cant grab/ escape/ end up dead

What about a counter-attack? So you got like Ã,½ a second after the spy has initiated a grab, to do a counter-move? xD

Weren't they supposed to have something like that in DA? Like a button sequence thing or like what Gears 2 is doing with chainsaw battling?

i don't wanna play some arcade fighter shit. countering/getting out a grab after getting grabbed shouldn't be possible (unless your mate headshots the spy).
before we talk about removing the jump-bug we have to see/adapt the hitbox for the grab.

But you can't do anything while the spy is WALKING FOR 2 SECONDS behind you for the grab (after pressing shift)
