I dunno if this is what you meant by remote hacking but by using the same animations you could let the bomb objective simple be placing a bug (USB HD of some sort) in a server room. The merc's have to get rid of it before it wipes out the system.

The chances of not secured wireless networks in a datacenter are kinda small. Mostly it's only for customers of the network. At least, that's at our place ;). So we'll need a wireless modem model. MORE WORK XD lolz, it's not really a problem.

*is a bit weird today*

Actually, linked objectives could be something refreshing.

Eg:
Take an harddrive out of a PC, replace it with a prefabbed harddrive which will compromise the security systems, take the retrieved harddrive to your spawn or w/e else. Use the compromised security to (remotely) hack a laptop and steal something (piece of art, crown juwels, a USB stick, naked pictures, depends on the story of the level).

Without replacing the harddrive in the overly protected PC (exaggeration), these 2 objectives won't be available besides the other ones in the level.

How does this contribute to...well...anything....

Thats your opinion. Site some points.

I don't have a problem with remote hacking, as long as the time it takes to do so is thought out rationally...you know...."makes sense"/balanced.

Gawain

i'm all for new types of objectives like remote hacking if it fits into the map.

I agree with westfall , Example In Pandora Tomorrow it all made sense.. because when you hacked the terminal To extract or neutralize the terminal aka ND133 which was code for the Small Pox Virus

so essentially the spies were taking an stealing and gathering information for a Purpose

as supposed to Chaos theory its like  W .. T ..F  i am extracting   an Ipod  ?
