i modeled this a while back , its fairly low poly (around 3500 i think without the nurms on the scope and handle , which only the scope and left side gets looked at , plus i hear new unreal engine 3.0 meshes only render the parts you can see per tri so it seems really feasable) ...

i modeled it by accident with the reload spindle on the wrong side which is very "Far Cry 2-esque " and not actually tru-to-life , but i lost the model anyways .

bare bones "texture" painted in like 7 mins in photoshop ...

this render with HDRI reflection/refraction material ... its way to glossy some say but ive seen google images with chrome this shiney ... of course if you actually like it you guys are good at shaders and such so could tweak it the way you want.

imho would be badass to pull it out and scope a spy trying to climb a pipe and bop me on dee mellon.

Tell ppl to fuck off over the net, just expect them to want to fight you until they can.

"i lost the model anyways".

So they can't really use it can they :P. On top of that there's not much point because how much are you using the guns whole clip? Not very often if your smart, you have to have been an idiot to end up using a whole clip to kill a spy, so it's actually a better way to help people learn some gun skills by not having a second gun in a game like this. You have to learn how to be wise with your ammo.

its a 6-shot speed clip loaded revolver , and to be honest 3 spies could use a bullet in the head and one to the chest for teabagging anyways , go pay world of warcraft instead of hugging ankles at project stealth if youre gonna try to dis' me for suggesting this fine pistol ... learn some tactical FPS FTW .

and second because its obvious everyone has a pole up their ass about me ... they can build their own goddamn model themselves and be happy as pigs in shit as much as they want about how they built it and i didnt ... like zedblade said to me long ago they dont give out pats on the head and candy (this quote actually has nothing to do with Project Stealth but was used in reference to Chaos Theory mapping).

stone why are you the first to respond , i know the community matters but your attitude (though i cant neccessarily prove it i know for a fact you got a grudge) ... attitude towards me is completely negative and youre wrong btw , a 6 shot revolver does the damnest thing , you can actually pull it out and then put it back in your holster , crazy F***d up world i know but its possible lol.

lol.

I don't quite remember what the community opinion as a whole was on the pistol idea.  Either way I don't care.  As long as it  doesn't eff with balance, needs testing anyways.

No, the unreal engine has per-mesh culling not per-poly culling.

Wtf, I have no grudge at all. To be honest, I probably know more tactics in FPS games than you ever will.

Which is exactly why I'm saying no, this is NOT Counter Strike. Counter Strike takes immense tactics with guns if you want to succeed against good players, and a good tactic in there is when you run out of bullets, switch to pistol instead of reloading, just like any FPS game. But this is not an FPS game, mercs are not in the kind of situations that they need to really quickly switch to a pistol, so it's useless.

If I had the option to do this in CT, i would. You have to remember how long reloading actually takes in CT (a fairly long time) in comparison to most other FPS. Provided the pistol was accurate and reasonably powerful (so that it doesnt take 3 clips to kill a spy) then sure id use it instead of reloading.
