OK, so aside from the presents I ask for each year my dad also goes out and gets me and my brother a "surpise" present. This year he went all out and got me a gaming pc which, according to "Can I run it?", can play most games at reccommended settings. So tommorow when the shops are back open i'm gonna go out an buy some new games for the pc. I'm not really a hardcore fan of any specific genre so i'll play most stuff, but what do you reccommend as an absolute _must_ have?

Im not really into all the new games, since I mostly enjoy playing older ones, so here's my good ol' list:

Medal of Honor Allied Assault (and expansions) <-- This is my alltime MUST HAVE game
Call of Duty (and UO)
Battlefield 1942
XIII
Rollercoaster Tycoon (1/2 + All expansions)
Splinter Cell (all of them actually)
Brothers in Arms (all of them)

Yea, I'm a WWII game addict, sorry about that.

Some newer games:
Grand Theft Auto 4
Call of Duty 4
AudioSurf
The Witcher
Tomb Raider: Legend/Anniversairy/Underworld (in that order, damn the story is good)
BioShock
Enemy Territory: Quake Wars
Oblivion
Fallout 3
Company of Heroes
Red Alert 3
Command and Conquer series

The NO-CD Fixes sites like GameBurnWorld (guess the link...) are always a good source of information for me, just check their daily submissions.

Numerous of choices, you should just pick what you like and not what someone tells you to like. Although, I would recommend you try MoH and XIII ::)

Grand Theft Auto 4
Call of Duty 4
The Witcher
BioShock
Oblivion (gotta get a shitload of modifications to get the best out of it, though)

In case your interested in Oblivion and your PC really is damn awesome, we (me and Gui) could probably help you get some awesome mods.

In case your interested in MoH, I have a fine collection of mods that turn up the realism, personally tweaked so they can work together without interferance.

On a sidenote: I love MoH soo much because it's the very first FPS I ever played (on PSX and PC) and also the very first game I modded, so call it sentimental value.

Blank Man

TF2. Definitely TF2. Lost Planet would be fun if the online wasn't completely dead. It's worse than CT... zero people always.  :-[

Left 4 Dead (I didn't really like it though)
Team Fortress 2
Portal
Half-Life 2

I forgot about those.

VaNilla

Counter Strike Source. If you like playing old games, I got Worms World Party back out it's dusty box for some group playing and damn, it's such a fun game which everyone should try :P. You may enjoy Bioshock, although I didn't.

Worms 2 FTW

Never really liked CS:S
BioShock was repetive, but fun for once. Although I really enjoyed the story, everything came together eventually and the use of the Unreal Engine was marvelous!

See, a nice list of games is coming up for you Tidenburg.

Got all of them on xbox anyway. ;)

Obviously, Unreal Tournament is on the list. I could get MoH but i've already got it on Xbox aswell as Bioshock and oblivion. :D What are any good strategy games?

Tidenburg

heh, I've got that as well

VaNilla

It owns :P. I've been addicted to it since I played on it again yesterday, and have officially become a ninja rope master.
