This mod looks absolutely amazing, and I have a few of questions:

1. Has a possible release date been targeted yet?

2. Is it standalone or will it require an install of UT3?

3. System requirements probably similar to UT3?

4. Is this the final name (like it matters ;), let's just play!)?

Thanks very much! I love Merc vs. Spy :D!

1: No, but we hope to have a beta-release for Make Something Unreal Contest at the end of August 2009. It'll be released when it's done. That goes for all stages: beta-versions when we feel like it's ready to be tested and the release version when there are almost no bugs in it.
2: It's a mod, so it requires UT3. Which should be relatively cheap by then.
3: Yes. Although we haven't done much testing yet on different systems.
4: Yes. The subtitle can still change, but I dont see that happening any time soon.

Thanks for the info! I love that this game is being carefully developed. The release date doesn't really matter to me, I just wanted to know roughly how long I would have to hold off before crapping my pants in excitement ;D.

To the other user: Is there a FAQ that I missed? Or was it merely a suggestion? I hope I'm not the idiot that didn't see the stickied thread right now :-\.

Most important stuff is aggregated on ModDB. On the forums, it's still a bit spread across multiple topics.
The brandnew wiki-page tries to give an overview, but is still far from complete (I could use some people who have more experience with it).

It was just a suggestion ;)

I myself do not have experience with wiki, otherwise I would be quite willing.

...and if it's not too much trouble I was wondering what kind of game modes (if more than one) would appear in this game.

Thanks.

EDIT:I ask because I just did some searching and was seeing Story Mode and possible Deathmatch. I assume others are probably there, but was wondering if anything new is being mulled around (again, doesn't matter to me, but still cool to know).

As far as I know, story mode is the main mode. Whether or not they throw in an extra mode for fun... we may have to wait and see.

There are no concrete plans for other modes at the moment. Story-mode has priority, then we might have DM, but that's low-priority.

Sounds very cool. Thanks for all the information everybody! Now I can stop bothering everyone!

I agree we need some kind of FAQ thread for the newer players. First post gets updated, the replies contain new questions, it's what I see at some other projects as well and it works out quite well.

Besides that, after reading, newer players who just started following PS know up to which point it is and might add their own interpretations.
