How can we improve our interaction with you?

As the title says:
What do you, as a community, miss when it comes to interaction.

Chat? More dev participation, if so, which fields (programming/modeling/animation)?
Stricter moderating, other color schemes, more smilies, contests etc etc etc.

pretty easy: let me massage your neck in the alpha ;P

Succubus Dryad Of The Undying Comet

An IRC channel with the devs on it.
There could be eg. an hour long IRC chat with the devs every 2-3 weeks or so.
I think that'd be pretty cool.

Also, it'd be neat to be able to drop by some devs house and see how the game is progressing, play a bit etc. ::)

There's xfire for that.

And dropping by? Ha, not a chance.

edit: and we had an IRC-channel, but it was empty most of the time. And a whole list of idling people also sucks.

Update the homepage with some new footage, use it to show off the tick-tocks. Add a media page where you can browse trough the PS footage/pictures whatever has been released. It's currently all forum based which makes it a bit messy. Not everyone wants to dig trough garbage comments saying "cool, first lol, awesome" everytime footage is released.

The forum layout is perfect though, clean and easy to read. Not much to improve on in my opinion.

Also, a (I know this is lame) add a twitter like window on the mainpage where the DEV's can post quick notes about the progress. So there's somewhat of an interaction going on outside the forums.

Would be nice to remove and ban people for using smileys as it represents a 13 year old anime-fan user.

And last but not least, don't let the douchbags have steamy hot dirt talk chats that ruin topics. Warn them on time about their misbehaviour. And actually punish them instead of granting such people "ghost status". This is not 4chan.

EDIT: Just found out it's called twitter not tweeter.

yeah, it's hell about time for a real homepage. it's just very important for catching new guys.
i really can't see any way to further improve communication with the community as i can chat with most devs whenever i feel like, what more can one ask for?
but i like the current forum visually and moderator-wise, so keep it up even if it doesn't fit the new page.

Everything white dwarf said.

I'm having problems on this forum with the new IE aswell?

frvge

No, IE has problems with this forum. Because IE8, even after it's definately improved over IE7, still sucks.
