My computer isn't exactly the best computer , and is not made for gaming . I really hope this comes to atleast 360 or ps3, so just wondering if anybody could answer this for me.

and also, its truly sad how ubisoft sucks so bad now, they used to be awesome, but it seems like splinter cell conviction is just complete utter garbage , and there will be no spy vs mercs, project stealth is everything i ever wanted , it looks awesome, and it brings back alot of memories from the old pandora/chaos theory days. Keep up the kick ass work guys, independent gaming is the future, screw ubisoft , activision and EA, im so sick of all these major video game companies that are greedy as hell, and just make crappy games. Project Stealth is gona be awesome

The UT3 Total Conversion version could work on a PS3. We switched to the similar but more powerful UDK version, and up till now, there's no good license model for us now (unless we pay around 800000 dollars, which we don't have). So we now have to wait till Epic Games adds the capability to UDK to port it to PS3.
I wouldn't hold my breath for the 360. MS is annoying. When it's possible, we'll definately consider the option. More players = more fun.

So as a recap in order of certainness:
PC: yes
PS3: yes, if the license is good for us
Xbox360: yes, if MS isn't annoying and the license is good for us.

MS doesn't allow mods for games, which was a bummer when we were still a UT3 Total Conversion.

:o im with baby pig. it would be phenomenal to have this hit the ps3. my pc is crap, and my ps3 is way more convenient. I understand that it may be a long time even after it hits PC, if it does go to ps3. Regardless, you best believe ill go broke buying a new computer just to fire this up.

/off topic. this is my 1st post and Frvge, You just replaced Ferris Bueller as my Hero.

Adoration blinds your criticism meter and makes you biased. We need quality so herofication or w/e isn't really what we want. ;)

That's a big if for the PS3, and you're probably better off telling people no for now.

The only way that you'd be able to get a license for PS3 is to charge money for PS and get a playerbase big enough to afford the license. Quite frankly, if you can sell enough copies of PS @ $5-10 a pop to make $800k, you should take the money and call it good.

You'd never get a ROI that makes the $800k investment in a PS3 license worth it.

I mean, first you'd have to sell 80,000 copies of PS @ $10/ea to even make that much money (which isn't gonna happen...). Then you'd have to sell ANOTHER 800,000 copies of PS on PS3 at that price to make the license worthwhile.

I pray everyday, hoping for a free PS3 license. Miracles happen, you know?  :D ;D :D

Yea...and pigs fly.

EDIT: Still, when someone asks if "this is really coming to PS3," you shouldn't answer yes because you hope Sony will offer a free license.

LennardF1989

Actually, file wise, there are indications a PS3 license is coming, but it won't be cheap, as you need a seperate license besides the Engine to get it onto the PS3. Besides that Sony is very critical when it comes to deciding if a game is "PS3-worthy".

Spekkio, you got a point, but Epic said they are looking into the possibility, because a PS3 port was also possible with UT3.  And the normal license for the PC one was around 800k, which is basically what we got for free now. Still no source code access, but UnrealScript's capabilities come pretty close.
