It wasn't bad, just predictable. That's not what I'm talking about though, he says Tom Reed plans to become president by killing the president, when in fact he wants the vice president to become president. He seemingly thinks Mark & Execute has no limitations, when they're limited by numbers and distance. The hand to hand takedowns can be countered, and since when has pressing a button to perform an action been a problem? That's all I disagree with.

Predictable = bad in most eyes.  I don't remember how he said that M+E has no limitations.  All he said was that you control a little guy on Sam's back (lmfao) and give him a slap on the head to execute some bitches (again, lmfao).  The takedowns are rarely countered, and the counters can easily be countered by just bashing the b button a few more times before he gets a shot off.  I think the real complaint there was how easy it is to just run up to a guy even when he's shooting at you and rape him.  You would get raped in the older games, even by one guy, if you ran straight at him while he was shooting.

After beating the game all I can say is "meh". You can run+gun most of the game on realistic which really bothers me.

Just thought I should let you guys know that all of the levels are now available on my YouTube account under the playlist 'Splinter Cell Conviction: Full Stealth Walkthrough' :).

Conviction sold 450,000 on 360 so far.  Probably not even close to what those bastards were shooting for with Conviction.

Watching your "full stealth" on white house (yeah right) right now.

Comments:

- Listening to Vic made me puke at the beginning.  He said Reed disabled the White House's security from third echelon?  WHAT?  How in the fuck did Tom Reed disable most of the security from third echelon?  How fucking stupid can the writing get?  Was that a joke?  Please tell me that was a joke.

- it's hard to watch when you roll so much

- I didn't know about that window that you jumped out of.  The one that you threw a sticky cam from.  But no big deal really, the game plays like chutes and ladders (kind of).  Do I go down the chute or up the ladder?  The choice is boggling!  OH and hey!  There's another ladder that I didn't even know about!  OMGZ!  I know that isn't how chutes and ladders plays but I'm just saying that the game is ridiculously basic and presents you with very few options.  It's the linearity and repetitiveness of it all.

- whatever happened to "not having to wait in the shadows for hours"...  You waited on that pole for a good 2 minutes until an opportunity to sort of fudge Sam into the next area popped up.  Stealth is just unorthodox.  Sometimes that opportunity might not even present itself.  It was luck stealth pretty much.

- I lol'd when Victor was talking about Grim and said "some people just don't change."  Grim was the character they changed from a pencil pusher into a kick-ass soldier who was somehow able to mark and execute 3 splinter cells no problem.  Disgusting.

Good job with some of these videos but unfortunately it's not making the game look any better to me.  At all.  In fact, they are showing me just stripped the game has been.  It's a mere shell.  I don't know how you could have fun playing like that all the time.  Especially since most of the ways you sneak past people are either just timed correctly or they are pure luck.  It's showing me you have no options.

if scc sp was twice as long, the levels not that linear and the story a little more believable, it would be quite good actually...

I thought it was lucky when he was waiting for those guys to move perfectly when he was on that pole.  They might have never gotten into that position.

Conviction was a decent game but I focus on the bad things more because I have high expectations for this series.  Scratch that, I HAD high expectations.  Then they hired the team that ruined rainbow.

Oh my God.  It's dims.  Duh.

You think I want to be associated with the piece of crap SC is in its current state? With SCDA and SCC, I'm kinda over it. Still loving the first 3 games.

Hahaha no, i didn't mean to insult you.
I was just wondering. It was a good site.

frvge

I'm not insulted ;). Just pointing out that SC is crap now. The site rocked, of course :P.

Nothing in any of my playthroughs is down to luck, I planned it all in advance ;). I'm just annoyed that the game is so linear, hopefully they can give the player a lot more options in the next game, it does feel a little on the rails. As for rolling, it decreases visibility and it's faster, I'm just playing to the game's strength and getting through the levels faster :P. Your right about timing though, timing is key to Full Stealth in the last few levels; I like that, I enjoy the challenge :).

Succubus Dryad Of The Undying Comet

I wouldn't call timing a challenge, it's just an ability you have or you don't.
Just like being able to play the drums.

VaNilla

Why wouldn't you? If you didn't need good timing to play through the game, then you wouldn't need to apply as many skills to complete the game. Like with playing the drums (and I do), timing comes with experience, and building that experience comes through passing the challenges of the game ;).

LennardF1989

As in any SC games, the AI just walks in patrols, so the opportunity you are calling luck will happen any time you play.
