Anyone see Forge World? It looks freaking AWESOME! I mean, forge felt kinda rushed before but now they've added grid snapping, physics types, HUGE map area and model skins... I can't wait.

I've kinda become a pc gamer since a few months ago but this is something that will probably bring me back to the xbox, at least for a while.

Amazing.
Not.
Overall, Halo is meh.

much better then halo 3 forge, still not the best editor on a console. nothing compared to UDK.  I love halo and will probably play around in it-- however after you learn to make all your own stuff, its hard to go back to that.

I love huge multiplayer areas.  Everyone sets up a base with their bud and no one has the balls to enter anyone's domain.

I hope more future console games have an editor like forge.  I mean, obviously it's not the best but it's easy and fun to use.  That makes it impressive for a console editor.

I'm so excited for this. I've been forging since H3 came out and have made some of the top forged maps (no e-brag), so this is a huge thing for me. My gamertag is iTs NeXn if anyone wanted to know. ;)

(no e-brag)
(super excited)

Mother of God.
Who ever did this needs to get a life.  Like seriously.

That's true but if these guys didn't have a life we wouldn't be able to watch it and realize how much of a life we have.  My favorite part was at 5:05.  Shooting a bird with a rocket to propel yourself onto a palm tree?  Doesn't get much better than that.  How much planning/timing do you have to do to know when that bird is in the right position?  I would say that much planning is pathetic but, okay yeah it's pathetic.

The thing about halo 3 is that not many games even come close to the physics system it has.  Not in multiplayer, at least.  Halo 3 does all the physics in multiplayer as well.  You can see it's an impressive engine when you take a peak at some of the rube goldberg machines that people have created.

Crysis has some of the best physics ever but it can't handle them too well during multiplayer.  In fact, they cut all of the destructibility and you cannot pick up objects.  I would say Halo 3 sacrificed graphical power in order to feel real when it comes to physics/object weight and all that, but Halo: Reach looks much better and will probably have the same, if not a better, physics system.

The physics are what make it fun to mess around in Forge mode.

I made a rube goldberg machine in 9th grade for a science fair and won 1st place.  It was unfortunate that my partner did absolutely nothing though.  And half of the project broke off when we transported it to school.  Then we had to take it back home for fixing before it could work again.  Yeah it was a mess.  Anyway...back to the topic.
