Anyone still playing SCCT?

I would play but it's been so long it would not only frustrate me getting owned all the time but likely frustrate whoever I partner with. I started the single player campaign again the other day and it's reminding me why it was one of the better of the series (for single player). It sure beats the hell out of Conviction which was way to short and dumbed down.

6000 hours of sucking? If he wasn't so bitchy to current GOOD players, he would have had better experience, yet he is being mean bitch to people and they just obliterate him.

I've tried to play some. But I got some weird problem (only in this game) when I move my mouse to the side, it moves like up & down while moving too the side. Really hard to hit someone because of it.

Update the drivers? That seems a weird thing...

Try lowering sensitivity or your resolution.

Some of the things also get fixed with 3D analyzer.

Also I think there is a small chance in FPS unlocker? If trying to use that maybe it will fix it somehow I dunno.

The game is really sensitive with the mouse, first you should check if ReduceMouseLag=True in the default.ini, change it to False if it is. Next if that doesn't help it make sure your USB or PS/2 doesn't have dust in it, since that caused my mouse to start acting up. Also updating the drivers might help if the mouse has any, or completely erasing them too since most work without any perfectly fine. It doesn't really have anything to do with the resolution of a widescreen monitor, I've played it on plenty of different widescreens and never had a problem.

If you're on Windows XP and you try to disable mouse acceleration through the control panel as suggested already, it wont work. It's a bug in XP, you need to download a registry fix instead. Google for CPL Mouse Fix :)

Is this one or two tips? Because I have to use around 40 sensitivity, else the mouse moves REALLY slow in SCCT. But in windows etc I got the right speed (for me....) or will the sensitivity be faster if I remover Mouse Acceleration? Btw how do I disable it? I don't find it under "mouse"?

One more thing - while we're at it - how do I start hearing mines again? I only hear them when I'm like 0.5 meter from them. I remember Snakebit gave me some settings in default.ini when I played long time ago so I heard mines again.

You either have to emulate and have EAX, use the sound fix in SCL forums, or just get really lucky at guessing where the mines are. Also pop your Effect Volume to full (10) and maybe use headphones with full volume, that helps as well. Good Soundcard is a + as well.

If you have Realtek HD soundcard search in google for " Realtek X-Fi ".
With this you will enable EAX with alchemy on onboard soundcard.
