Kinect on my wishlist

Kinect is actually on my wishlist.

I don't have an Xbox. What I do have, though, is a PC (If it keeps running), and if I get one (ever), I have some cool projects in mind.



Also... How cool would it be if you could control the spy or mercenary using your body?
Imagine having just killed someone, and you can press a button to taunt, and for the next 5 seconds, the spy will move like you move using Kinect xD

The only PC specific application of the kinect taht I can think of is masterbation simulators and that is just super redundant.

Considering that you're sitting down when you play; I think it'd look hilarious. Like you're driving an invisible car around.... on their dead body.

Now if you stood up and showboated for like 30 minutes. Doing intricate dances inserting subtle, yet powerful pelvic thrusts... I think this could be a great mechanic that should have many many months dedicated to it.

Holy crap i just had a brilliant revelation !! ; Theoretically if you can hack the kinect , then it is theoretically possible to turn it into a cheap and easy mo cap system :D !!!! for animations ! :O ....

hmmmmm ponder/ discuss.

Kinect + PS, You will definitely need a huge room to do acrobatics, not to mention how will you do a wall flip? Unless you are a free runner, that will be hard to do, and pelvic thrust will require a huge room, and I don't think yo will have an empty room with just a monitor and a kinect system:P But it would be awesome if you could, that would definitely bring some exercise while playing imo.

In all honesty I have almost no interest in the Kinect, at all...

If I want excersize, I'll run around for a bit.
If I wanna play a game, I'll sit at my computer or Xbox and play.
But dancing in front of a camera doesn't sound like much fun.  More like a chore IMHO.

LoL, after using the Kinect, I'd be like, "Gonna go play a video game now." :D

But, you know.  Whatever floats your boat.

Well... One of my plans is to extend my bot (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ku3tm6zts3c), adding something similar to the object recognition.

I just picked one up for $110 w/extra game.

Perfect timing too, since an open source framework came out today that has a plugin-type thing for kinect support. :D
