Conviction has NOT a MULTIplayer!  :o

Yes it does. Multiplayer is a term used for games with multiple (More than one) players.

Deniable Ops is DUOplayer
and
Co-op is SINGLEplayer with 2 players :P

 ;D

i always thought about it like this:

1 single
2 partners
3+ group

i know 2 players are technical "multi" too but... i think 2 players are a category of its own, while anything from 3 and up doesnt change the situation much...

well... it's hard to explain  ;D

ANYWAY:
a maximum of 2 players is something that i remember from "Playstation 1" times...

ahhh i just remembered the word: SPLIT SCREEN. While anything more than this is just... different...
__

EDIT: I think i may be too biased about SC:C because of the "ubisoft game launcher" so never mind...

I think by multiplayer he/she/they mean a competitive versus mode as opposed to co-op.

Splinter Cell used to have very different experiences for Multi than it did for Single.  And in Conviction, it's the same god damned thing in the single player as it is in the multiplayer (coop or versus).  Same gameplay.  Same maps.  Same shit.

DreadStunLock

It's still a multi-player doesn't matter how many players, if it's at least 2 players in a server it's a multi-player.

Conviction doesn't have Versus. And the co-op maps are not the same as the singleplayer maps.

SC:C:

1. You can either play against a human player 1 vs 1 + BOTs, so you got an human opponent. (the deniable ops were you play 1on1)

2. Or you can play a co-op campaing and have a human ally, 2 vs BOTs. (co-op) But also the other 3 deniable ops

SCCT:

1. Coop like SC:C

2. Versus (2on2) here you got a human ally AND human opponents. = What PS will become

Your point being? I still don't get where you coming from?

NeoSuperior

teamwork and player vs player

conviction has both of them seperate only, while chaos theory has both of them combined.

Neo either doesn't speak english natively or is a mislead 12 year old boy hung up on some non-sensical semantics. Either way there are at least 2 players in the other modes.

Not "at least"!

It's "exactly" 2 players!

If you play conviction, it is:

1.
1 player vs bots (single player) [1 player]

2.
1 player vs 1 player vs bots (deniable ops) [2 players]

3.
2 players vs bots (co-op and deniable ops) [2 players]

in SCCT:

1.
1 player vs bots (single player) [1 player]

2.
2 players vs bots (co-op) [2 players]

3.
2 players vs 2 players (Versus) [4 players] = What PS is going to be

(This is the same as in my post above, but easier to understand... I hope)

yes, i don't speak english natively, but i still write my posts better, than some other people here.

MY POINT:
Conviction can't have both factors (Teamwork and playing against real people, not bots) combined in 1 game mode, while SCCT can (Versus)
