I disagree with some of your choices. They are based on the premise that you're going to upgrade. In practice, you don't.

Agreed, I bought an 8800GTS and an SLI board and thought if I needed more power I could just whack another one in. Couple years down the line, when I'm beginning to need more power and they don't even sell them anymore/they are ridiculously priced.

Cant even upgrade my GFX card (properly) now without having to get a new motherboard! I've never upgraded my computer, just ended up buying new ones and building them from scratch again. To actually be able to keep a computer for *years* and it still be decent and upgradeable you basically have to be upgrading more regularly than you'd like. Guarentee if you don't upgrade for a few years like I did, if you want a newer graphics card it wont be as simple as just buying another one, probably end up having to buy other shit too.

WRONG. Once your up to date with PCI-Express / an up to date motherboard and you have a really good processor in ram, the only thing youll ever have to change once in a while is the graphics card.

Good processor in ram?

Dude not everyone can get the stuff you just asked, + all of that stuff gets updated and can get changed drastically, this is not an Xbox360/PS3.

Yes I know noob , im talking say buy an i5 or quadcore for cheap , then use that for a while , wait for an 8 core to come out and voila because I myself for instance, have had just a dual core computer
with the highest of processors that you can get for that platform and the only thing i had to remotely upgrade was the graphics card, thats how you play things smart and not have to upgrade time and time again.

I don't know which part of me you aimed noob at, but as far as I know i5 can suck my balls, they might be all fancy shmancy but the price of them are never cheap.

P.S: I kicked your ass at CT so you can't call me a noob

wise words.

QuoteAnd IMO you need a good sound card. Really makes a difference when you have a good headset.
i suggest getting an external audio interface for more flexibility and way better sound quality.
i'm using an apogee duet right now, but for you windows guys something like dr. dac prime should do just fine.
