I know I keep saying this is the last post i will make interms of ideas but curiousity killed the cat .what can I say?  so without further a due:

The thing with splintercell online multipaleyr  was that it was there was never push to talk and it was always voice over IP.

I think that push to talk should be incorperated when you start getting into bigger team sets higher then 2 vs 2 because then you have everyone trying to talk all at once o_o.

Also I think that there should be the option of quality like Xfire  where its dependent on the strength of your connection because lets face it , not everyone has an uber 1337 T1 or T3 connection.

discuss.

Didn't you have this post created already where I necro posted after some time?

I agree with all of that, but I really, really, really, really, really, really, really god I can put some many reallies that Developers already considered that...

Don't you think?

Keep going.

Push to talk is only needed when there's 5+ people on a team. Halo and CoD don't have push to talk for teams with 4 players or less, and it works perfectly. So really, we don't need push to talk. Nobody talks that much, and if they do, mute them.

Yeah but u can always hear what other team saying if u use spy bullet or spy trap or others things. It rly help if u can hear others guys when they dont know it ;)

Well, looks like a bit of misunderstanding :P We are not talking about ''communications hacking to caprute opponents team voice". Its about teamchat with an option of "Push-to-talk" which means that u will be able to speak via mic only when pressing a button instead of voice activation.

I consider this idea quite useful. There should be implemented option to chose between voice activation and Push-to-talk. Some people got broken mics so even when not talking we can hear noise or some other disturbing sounds (that could drown important ingame sounds) and PTT option would be a good solution for them :)

I know more CT bugs than you could ever imagine. I just had forgot about half of them.

Perhaps there should be a button in the lobby for each to turn on/off push-to-talk for their mic.

What could also be nice is a keybind in-game to turn on/off push-to-talk. For example if there is not much action going on it won't harm to reach for your push-to-talk key, but if every second counts it would be nice to easily enable your mic without a button to push each time.

About the spybullet/spytrap, maybe implement a mute toggle keybind?

VaNilla

I prefer push to talk, you don't want everyone to hear everything ;)

Here's an idea: You know those times when there's a little notification on the screen that says someone is talking, and you can hear a voice in your head at the same time? Don't talk then.

Aha, so when you run for your life as a spy, your teammate will shout to you "COME ON DO COOP!" You will be like running as fast as you can with bullets behind you and thinking "Fuck me life, where did I put that push-to-talk button"

I use all mouse buttons for game, so with me that's not working :D

I know i didn't say what  I meant at the time but  what i was trying to say in the audio options was basically give the option for either  OR , so those people who wanna use push to talk they can, those people who wanna use voice activation , its up to the users discretion.

Yet you are talking about customization, and you don't even realise that you are putting this game comfortability on how much money you spend, that not how the game keys should be made.

When you create a game, the simplest keys have to be most comfortable with a mouse that has Left and Right mouse button and a scroll wheel with a button on that. Nothing else.

You are many years in back.. rofl
In mouses standard is 5 keys atm

Hmmm, even so, putting Push-to-talk on a mouse button? That is a waste, I rather put an equipment slot or back to the wall or something on it.

By the way, will there be an option to throw 3 grenades at your feet or PS will stick to just 2? Meaning right click to drop grenade number 2 at your feet and same for the left?

Because in CT you had to bug it, so I am wondering what PS is thinking.
