@Farley That's good news, finally a PC game actually designed for the PC. BF2 was a blast here's hoping this is the same gameplay.

I agree.  But by "kids" bubba meant people obsessed with instant gratification/explosions/mark and execute and no interest in having patience.  I'm home sick today and tried to play black ops with my buddy.  I ended up having to mute everyone because of their social ineptitude, total annoyance, high pitched squeals of "OMG TOMAHAWK", bitching, cussing that ended when their moms walked in the room, etc.  Those kids are different from the kids who played SC.

Not really.. The graphics shown in the BF3 trailer actually looks like the actual engine.

Yeah that pretty much sums it up. I played BF2 for a long time and with the squads and team oragnization you had to play as team, especially if you played competetively (TWL). We never saw kids like Falrley describes in TWL, it was mostly mature gamers who were organized, not anything like you see in CoD. My experiences with CoD was all pick up teams where everyone did their own thing. The only team play was red vs blue and that's where it ended. I am looking forward to BF3 if they keep the same formulas that made BF2 sucha  good game.

I'm saying a game that requires patience tends to not be attractive to kids who want non stop action.  The percentage of those kids is definitely lower on SC than COD.

And you're basing this on what? To me the trailer looked solidly like it was actual gameplay on the frostbite 2 engine, and it's starting to look great.
As long as Dice manages to deliver an experience that's atleast on a par with what BF2 delivered or even better I'll be happy.

Considering the game is being developed by DICE, the words "PC First" are by DICE and the game is only being released by EA, I'd say you should be paying more attention to the work DICE has done rather than on what EA is known to do. On another note, it's a series that continues to sell well, why would they want to fuck it up? it's going to sell well even before released since it is a well known franchise.

Well known? As if, COD gets advertised 500 times more than Battlefield games, and then people piss that COD people are noobs who don't know shit, yeah they don't cause DICE don't fucking advertise enough!

Just because a game doesn't get advertised as much as CoD does, doesn't mean that it's not well known. Just look at all the servers BFBC2 and BF2 have running, I'd definately say it's well known. Even if the game is old it's still being supported a whole lot.
