Just wondering, who creates the sound for the bullets, footsteps, wall climbing, running etc?

Frvge or Theo? Or both?

Also, will you guys have a lot of different sounds in for 1 type of an area?

For example: Running on the sand will give different sounds on every 10 steps like: Tick, Tock, Click, Clock and etc, etc.

Or will it just be: Tick, Tock? Meaning just 1 type of a sound for both of the feet?

Also, how do you guys create sounds for the bullets? I saw a video on the creation of the sound for bullets, and they used real items like the bullets by dropping them down on different materials and also shooting from different guns. But I am sure that PS developers don't have that type of a resource, so will it be fully digital? And if so, is it hard to make them? Do you have to create different strings of different instruments for that, or is there a drop down menu will all of the things? Just curious.

Thanks.

Theodore makes the sounds. How did you ever get in your head that frvge makes sounds?

About the rest, I either don't know, or am not at liberty to say.

I think Frvge said he was implementing the footsteps, probably just he was doing the sounds too somehow >.< Woopzie-dazey.

I also recall frvge saying something about implementing footsteps...

Frvge takes credit for a lot of things.  Like the holocaust and white bread and stuff.

frvge

The white bread is a lie.

I assume the distance you can hear footsteps from is programmed... :P

DreadStunLock

No, that's graphical, you have to draw with a tablet on Photoshop of the distance you want to hear it.

Yes. Inverse function. Sound volume is based on the speed of the character too. So footsteps while running are louder than when sneaking.

Speaking of sneaking, will you guys have different speeds for angled sneaking and forward sneaking like CT?

Because in CT, angled sneaking could get you detected on Motion Sensor while straight sneaking did not.

As well as angled sneaking had a quite a loud noise if the spy was on the metal surface and very close to the mercenary?

Or do you guys take it as a bug and it will not be implemented?

frvge

I don't know. That's for the input and animation-programmers.

Currently, the direction you're moving does not change your speed.

I actually start to grow into the fact that when you sneak sideways it makes tiny bit of noise, and when you do it straight it has no noise at all.

Farley4Fan

But there won't be super hearing EAX right?  You'll have to 'ungrow into the fact' when PS finally rolls out.

DreadStunLock

Meh, there will be plenty of P3rs1a's to come around :D
