@ OP:

I can see you're a beginner,  But no problem, I only wish to share a couple tips:
Until you're practiced and confident enough to draw out of your head, use photo's as reference, for either character posing or perspective drawing.  It helps a lot, see you'll find that drawing something from a photo will build your knowledge base, so when you want/need to draw from nothing, you'll have a much better idea.

Trying to do the last lap first and just expect skills to appear from nowhere isn't very efficient.
So yeah, experiment with photo reference.

Once I had the structure and perspective right it's a simple matter of evolving it with your imagination.

I second what Jazz has said.  You gotta start somewhere.  I'm no pro by any means and I can only draw really accurately when I'm looking at pictures, but I'm decent.  The best way to draw imo is to draw what you are interested in.  Obviously you like that manga stuff so the proportions aren't important.  When people get mad their heads get like twice the size of their body.  I'm thinking emotions are all important.  Learn what emotions do to people's body language/facial expressions and then exaggerate them by 1000.  I've never drawn manga but I guess that would be a good way to start.

See the thing is, after PMCKai advised me to put on the "Pressure Sensitivity" option for the tablet, my drawings got 100 times harder :( The bloody thing needs so much to get used to QQ But the results are really nice!

First time I tried manga.

I still find it hard to draw views which aren't either head-on or side-on, so I probably need to start trying reference. What tablets are you guys using? Mine is crap, doesn't even have pressure sensitivity.

My one is CTF-430, they do not sell them anymore unfortunately.


I am planning to buy a 12 by 9 tablet soon because they just seem a lot better.

Are you sure your Tablet doesn't have pressure sensitivity?

Have you installed the specific drivers? Have you gone to the (Brush) F5 > Shape Dynamics (Make sure you click to highlight the whole option)

In Shape Dynamics make sure the:

Size Jitter is 0%

Control: Pen Pressure

the rest options below set them to 0 and Controls to Off

Flip X and Y UNCHECKED
