My friend who is a developer of who was part of the project to create the game "Heavy Rain" a BAFTA Award winning game said:

In estimate Eidos Montreal spent 20,000,000$ in creating it, what do you think?

I hope deus ex will be so good or even beter than previous deus ex games. ;d

I just wonder how much did Batman: Arkham Asylum cost to develop, 20 million does seem really a lot and really nice to know it's been cared for that much.

The current videos which show the multiple entrance gameplay is also really nice, something Invisible War did not have.

20 million is medium for the big AAA titles.
AFAIK GTA4 cost 40 million.

GTA4 had multiplayer content didn't it? As well as I  think games like GTA cost really a lot more because of the sandbox gameplay as well.

Deus Ex is Cyberpunk RPGFPS so I think that had a huge role in comparison.

Hmmm, come to think of it, how much would World of Warcraft in total would cost?

EDIT: Apparentely it cost them 200$ million+ since 2004...

I heard Gran turismo 5 had like a 50 or 60 million dollar budget.  The main reason is probably the super long development cycle though.

The game looks okay.  I was super excited but the gameplay videos have dulled the excitement for me a little bit.

Seriously? How come? I thought the game play videos were awesome, of course it's not a final finish but the voice acting and the action is really nice, especially the instant kills are also really great.

Not a big fan of the insta kills.  Kind of mark and execute-ish.

I don't really like the 3rd person view switch, the shooting looks kind of stiff, and it seems a bit watered down.  It's not that I'm not looking forward to it anymore it's just that I'm not hyping it up anymore.  Who knows.  Might be good.  Eidos has been making some good games lately.
