I was going to say just that (sort of). We need a lucid, normal non-dev moderator with balls. That way it's not US banning or editing a topic, but the moderator. As I have a feeling currents mods are indeed afraid to get called "Ubi" or make enemies.

ya you wouldn't hear me bickering with fools if they wouldn't start things /if  I had the power of the ban hammer , there wouldn't rambling about hackers  or spam accounts, most of em would be deleted in a second.

I am not the problem, I am the solution but you all fret it, and from day one I have always said it like it is, I don't care what race you are, what side of the tracks you come from, I will do what's right.

Consider the above statement my application.

-Thanks Murdy for da Sig <3  xD

I'm lost, what's the current topic of this thread?

Mics, Moderators, or Agent and Dread fighting on what is the "standard" for a 6 year old game that was clearly not meant to be played for this long?
If you haven't noticed, I'm REALLY good at making a simple response into a wall of text.

I also care about it, thats 2 already a helluva lot more then 10, I also hate EAX for that matter, super hearing gives the spies a huge disadvantage if you want to play stealthy but anyway thats not the point of this topic.

How do I set the mic as a recording device? In audio settings in the control panel I have it set as the input and output device for voice but that never worked.

You have to open control panel - audio - and set up recording and playback device to your soundcard/Mic(if u have USB microphone)
Is your microphone working in Teamspeak/Xfire/Skype/another game? Maybe you have to enable it in your soundcard drivers ( probably placed in tray near clock ).

Its a USB Microphone, Logitech to be exact. I did set it as the voice input output device in my control panel (Windows XP) and i can't find any extra options anywhere like you mentioned.

I got everything like this, maybe you have to install drivers for your Logitech Mic.

I have always thought Knooger was German, but he's Polish! What an epiphany!

Consider the above statement my application.
As you are the problem in this case and most of the time the laugh on the forum - no offense meant, it's just the case in most topics - people wouldn't be able to take you serious. I would reject your application.

I would rather put Knooger, Cronky or Spekkio in that position.

DreadStunLock

Cronky is a bit too soft, Spekkio is very offensive and talks crap about other countries without learning the history of them, Knooger is a lot more viable choice.

My vote:

  • Knooger

I have everything like this, im assuming its right,my mic works on x fire no problem, just can't get other peoples voice to come out through my headset in game.

Spekkio

Why not use Xfire one? The voice on versus is shit and is not worth it, + the whole crap about "Listening your opposite team for tactics" is bull****. Xfire is a lot better.
The voice quality in game is no better or worse than Xfire voice. You just have to make sure your audio quality in game is set to high. I have never had an instance in versus where I couldn't understand a teammate due to poor voice quality.

Dunno about now, but Xfire voice used to use excessive processing power and cause lag.

I'd do it, but I don't think I'd be very effective while out to sea with no interwebs.

Although it sounds like your motivation for appointing a mod is to shirk responsibility for poor moderation or whimsical use of the banhammer. Sorry, but you (meaning the PS team) are responsible for who you choose to enforce your forum rules. You may not physically press the ban button, but the mod is enforcing your site policy and so when he bans someone, it means you banned him, too.

Packerton

I have to use in game voice because x fire voice in game kills my frame rate.

knooger

Not Voice just audio settings man.
Same place like on my screen.

It's too bad that a mod's job is to enforce site policy, not make you feel good or learn international history.

DreadStunLock

What kind of bollocks is that? My soundcard supports heavy EAX and no matter what I got in my Audio options, Xfire is crystal clear, and versus is just horrid oO
