Hmm i dunno if anybody brought this up. but i remember back In Pandora Tomorrow, didn't anybody notice that you could be sooo far away in distance ie. Germany, Portugal, Jamaica , Philippians  and at least get a ping of 40 something... was that because the netcode was better or what.. would better netcode in this game achieve the same results or what ? .. enlighten me .

It's because PT lied to you and/or all your neighbors weren't all torrenting Halo3 at once (still legal in Canada?). Ping is a measurement and doesn't get better if you write good. I don't think you can ever get 40 with people overseas...

But, there seems to be more than 1 thing to measure or something. I don't know, someone in HL1 told me.

Ping was generally higher in PT, but warping and sound loss was less common.
