Hmm. Its ok but not very nice to look at in general. I think if you did it in flash with a menu which appears on rollover instead of "image info" it'd look nicer. The greyish background is just plain horrible and the cheesy drop shadows on the buttons do the images no justice. Ps the gun is a little to shiny.

neth

nice but I dont really like the lustrous style.

Layout: I am personally not a fan of too much silver. The arrows aren't really sticking out of the rest.  Looks a bit, well, the same. My suggestion is to add some more distinct borders. And possibly a vertical scrollbar.

Renders: I like the scope and the reflection. Pistols dont look really used. Too perfect maybe. Ending of the barrel looks weird to me, but I dont know shit about guns. Texture for the barrel hole can be upped.
Add more normal mapping for scratches and other spots.

k ill asnwer or elighten in the order in which you posted :

Tidenburg : thz for supporting non-dev art , especially in my favor ... i agree some people will not like it , however it is for my freelance art and made to be very simple and printer friendly . it will be flash animated with nice effects , i will spend alot of time refining while putting in funtionality .

again the grey background is for printer-friendlyness , and i will take your advice about the drop shadowing , i just wanted something that you would glance at and immediately feel like you know what to do with it . have any suggestions on how to make a button feel catchy and easy to use without overdoing it ?

Neth : thz , imo i dont see it as fancy , but i do love a corporate cobalt color , so maybe thats what you mean .

Binary : again printer-friendlyness , if someone were to be only interested int eh images it would be very easy to only see the images . also it sort of "guides" artsists into seeing the images and using the navigation . it is my personal taste but i am not perfect and could most likely make a better style but i cant think of anything atm .

reason3d

hmm well it wont have all features until it hits flash , but good catch , it could use more "funk"

the silver/cobalt is my personal favorite besides a gold or khaki and i went with what i got .

the render was made without full effort , i have alot of things going on in my head and right now im more focused on other aspects of art , and learning more newer things . i assume youre right about the render , could be alot different and lifelike , used and fitting to the scene but i am replacing it with new material anyways , sort of a practice art render .

thansk for the advice on the textures and nromals and i didnt feel like completing the model to high standards so i just sort of lobbed at it .

** btw if a moderator drops by : can i show and advertisement banner i made for my mod ? would be nice to get crits on this piece as well , i just finished it too .

Flash is a fad that ended several years ago. It's overrated and annoying.

As far as the guns themselves, the models are good but it needs a texture. It looks like you just added reflection to a default blinn material...

well youre right geez i forgot peole stopped using flash . happened when , about the time Bill Gates turned into a cyborg and programmed our brains with vista that crashed to BSOD but with the messaage" all your base are belongs to us" , right ?

i updated the mod banner , looks much better imo .

Tidenburg

Zedblade I semi-agree with you but if you mean in general flash is out then you obviously haven't surfed the web lately.
When done wrong flash can be awful. I for one, am completely against complete flash websites, they take away use of standard IE buttons and are bad for SEO aswell. But for things like games, presentations etc flash is the best thing for it. No web games use java any more, its all flash and it's certainly not a fad that ended years ago.

Then again you didn't really elaborate about what media in flash you hate so I can't comment any more.

Reason,
the UT3 symbol is waay to large, it should be off the sights and in the bottom corner. Again, you seem to have gone a little to crazy with the blending effects, an outer and inner glow? Apart from that, the picture isn't actually zoomed in you can see its normal scope but then thats actually only after observing it for ages.
Finally, the stock image should be more action packed. Maybe not just a guy with a giant wheel in the background.
(stock looks better now)

I thought you were leaving already? Hmmm...

Your textures are WAY too bland, looks totally fake.

Looks a bit more alive, but remember that the Unreal logo is red, and should stay that way.
