Add to fix list?

Just seeing if this seems worthy of approval to add to the fix list.

Elevator should be able to be sent to another floor without the merc or spy being in it. Say I'm merc, and I want the ability to send an elevator to another floor as a tactic against the spy. I can go to a nearby elevator or find another quicker route up to fool the spy. We were able to hear it (as spy) if we were near it. I assume this is the case with the use of the UT3 Engine. Sometimes, as spy, you might still be hanging around with a cam, waiting for the merc to come out. Isn't this a simple set of buttons to add by now?

We all know we could use it as spy to potentially fool a merc.

Whatcha think?

Except real elevators don't work that way. And lots of effects to gameplay. You can no longer snipe from the elevator in clubhouse, spy shocks, smokes, runs up the the button and sends the elevator back up with the merc in it. Lots of other examples.

Not fix list, more like new addition list.

Honestly, why would you ever use something like that? About all I can see is the merc having to rush out of the elevator before the spy sends him back to whatever other floor he came from.

It is referring to clubhouse where you can fake if 2 mercs on the same floor or not.

I understand the strategy behind this,  but it introduces a very negative effect.

To do this,  merc goes in elevator,  activates it,  and then needs 1-2 seconds to get out of lift so that lift door can close.

I think gamers, in general would rather be able to have much faster movement at the cost of being able to send lift without being in it.  Especially in a situation like Clubhouse.

any more questions?  ;D

some (rare) times you can do this with team play: you hack garden, merc comes with lift and snipes, you taze, and your teammate calls the elevator from the other floor *g*

thats teamwork. no reason to nerf it.

One of my favorite tactics is to call the elevator down (or up) to the floor I'm on before I start hacking garden, that way the merc below has to wait for it to return to his floor before being able to stop my hack.

yeah it's kinda common to fetch the elevators, especially if the two mercs are on the other floor.
talking about elevators and improvements, i'd like to see functional elevators with open skylights and climbable shafts.

Oh yeah, thats what I thought about when i first played PT. unfortunately there is no played map for CT which includes this. Hope this will change

I still think it should be possible to send an elevator somewhere else. I mean, what elevator would just shoot up as son as a button was hit? Granted, i know, it is a game. I feel its a simple add and really wouldn't take away from much. While there would be a 1-2 sec. delay, is it really that horrible?

I guarantee you, I could manipulate your thought of where I was with a change of the elevator....as both spy or merc. Add a delay to the elevator (1-2 sec.) and a merc wouldn't have to rush out of anywhere. It would be pretty sweet to ZZZ a merc in an elevator and send him elsewhere. Be a little more open-minded about it.

I could go for openings in the elevator to that lead to different vents. If the merc chooses to go all the way up with the elevator, it should kill the spy (crunch). Mercs messing with the elevator can screw up the spy just as much.

Honestly, I don't really spend much time in clubhouse sitting around listening for the elevator. So I'm not quite sure how much of a mind game you could play there. And not like you're going to be able to play any mind games with heartbeat sensor anyway.

To pull this off.

The merc has to:

-Know the spy is within listening distance of the elevator
-Know the spy knows that his partner is also on the top floor
-Hope the spy didn't bring heartbeat or hears his footsteps as he gets off the elevator instead of sending it up.

If you know this much about the spy's position and what he's been doing, it's probably easier to just go kill him rather than play mind games.

Im a merc, my mate gets a neck. spy i hacking upper garden, im using elevator and wait 2 sec so door close, i get there, i get tazed and another spy calls elevator down. It goes there cause taz time>door closing time. spy up hacks again, so i want to go there again but must wait another 2 sec. Pointless.

Actually, I hate clubhouse 100%. Your response so far has yet to convince me otherwise. Rather, it's just something you don't want in there. Go up and try and take care of the spy. There r either 2, or the person wouldn't let you kill them if they weren't a noob.

You were the genius getting caught in the elevator right? Obviously a vulnerability has been exposed. Thats the point exactly.

Exactly. It would be very frustrating to have the following sequence:

-Get in elevator
-Press button to go up
-Wait 3 seconds
-Elevator finally moves.
