4.  I think the neck snap should be a fast twist of the merc's head but the animation should be a little shorter than it does now.  Like as soon as you snap his neck you should be able to move and not have to drop his body down all nice and soft.  It's just retarded.

5. I agree with you on the hitbox.  Except for the fact that lag issues and bugs will be fixed so the hitbox will be bigger anyways.  With lag you can be directly behind a merc and elbow him, with that bug gone the hitbox will be larger.

To this I agree totally i hate it when i grab a merc and i see the other one i know im dead 100% when i wait to long i get a headshot and when i break him my spy lift mercs body down so fucken slow and im dead in both ways :///

I think that there should be no holding of the merc by the spy. Just a very fast neck snap/ k.o , like what Sam does in the inverted neck animation.
Another thing is the neck hitbox. It should be on the whole area of the mercs back, ending where the arms start. Also escaping necks by jumping and turning around should be prevented.

Imo this would cut off the need to synch player, since it would work like the knife in CS.
It would also need alot of balancing, since it would encourage aggro, but i believe it is worth a try.

Seriously, you have more than 650 hours of play time and you're completely clueless about the gameplay for story mode.  I would say "play more" but that obviously isn't helping.  Time and time again you give off the impression that you play a lot of DM or Tag.

grabbing should be possible on stairs.

If not grabbing, maybe some other form of a KO move? For a balance?

How come KO instead of a well earned neck would make the game more balance... why should stairs be a sanctuary for mercs

Gawain

in pt days stairs where the exact opposite for mercs XD
the only reason against being able to grab on stairs is the more complicated animations, but with that good artists i'm quite optimistic =)

Tidenburg

If a spy is killed while in grab there should be a random chance of the merc falling over with him as you would in real life.

What!!!!

Tidenburg

Not as in die. Think, if someone grabs you and then falls over you too would fall over and then get back up. I mean instantly but I think it would be cool.

Gawain

aaaaaaaaaaand another fancy idea totally ignoring the gameplay...

Tidenburg

OFC. I enjoy shiny visual effects.

The merc is like 2x the weight of the skinny spy. Why would he be able to pull him down?

dead weight is always quite strong for some reason. Especially if the spy had his arms around his neck.

SITHDUKE

Alright well look at it this way then, if you get grabbed and cafe outside is hacking. The merc gets grabbed and his partner comes from the other side of cafe to help is teammate and he shoots the spy in the head. The merc in position to secure cafe will fall over and waste time while the spy is hacking.

arms are like jello when there is not more signal from the drain...  spy would go strait to the ground wont bring the merc down unless he is completly unbalance...

true, it actually takes a few hours before your joints lock.

@Sith: good call. I'm not actualy for it, I was just saying that dead weight can be heavy.
