It's not all nVidia cards. My 7900 runs it perfectly.

Overstatement

nVidia has awesome game development tools that only work for their cards.

Farley4Fan

Wait, is there something wrong with Nvidia?  Or do their cards just not work with older games or something?  Maybe if I want to play with you guys on CT I shouldn't get a nVidia?  What else?  I'm thinking about the Radeon.

Bob_Bobber0

several 8000 series cards have a glitch that doesnt display the flashlight and some lighting properly in CT. Other than that its fine. Its just a driver issue but it will probably never be fixed.

Cyntrox

nVidia is awesome. It's just some specific cards that has a problem with one specific game.

AgentX_003

Ati you still have a flashlight but its red, OH BTW PAPASKULL GET x-firrre!!!!

-Thanks Murdy for da Sig <3  xD

Bob_Bobber0

yea I say go with 8800GT, or get a 8600GT 512 and wait for the 9X cards to come out

8800GTX 768MB
GPU @ 642MHZ (With room to spare)
Memory @ 2260MHZ (With room to spare)
100% Stable.

Runs everything I've been able to throw at it without even a stutter.

Xris

nice card
ATI does not have a red flashlight ... maybe the old cards

B1nArY_001

I'm perfectly happy with it. I've had ATI in the past but I decided to give Nvidia a shot again (my GeForce4600ti burned up, literally) and I'm glad I did. I'm even considering picking up another one to run SLI when the price drops a little. I'm not a latest and greatest kinda guy either, but I am certainly a graphics whore  ;)

Farley4Fan

Well, I know for sure that I am getting a card with atleast 512 mb.  Probably ebay or amazon, I've saved hundreds of dollars on things shopping there.  I'm just not sure whether or not I should go with the Radeon or the 8800gt from nVidia.  They are both equally good cards, but you guys are suggesting the nvidia more.  Why?  Especially if it screws with CT?

Because the GT has hype. All aboard the bandwagon!

Farley4Fan

I'm guessing it lives up to the hype though, right?

Bob_Bobber0

yea, it has the benchmarks to back up the hype.

Its a good card, I'd get it if I wasnt a poor college student.

Xris

yay for being a poor college student  :D

im about $20k  in debt  :o
