Does anyone know if the Controls were verified to fit with a PS3/ 360 controller?

Primary buttons (quick to access):
Left thumbstick/ Left thumbstick button
Right thumbstick/ Right thumbstick button
Left Trigger (L2)
Left Bumper (L1)
Right Trigger (R2)
Right Bumper (R1)

Secondary buttons:
A (X)
X (square)
Y (triangle)
B (circle)
Start

Slow-action buttons:
D-Pad
Back (select)

What?

You can assign your own controls with a gamepad with a certain program I think.  If that's what you are asking of course.

lolll nah it's not exactly what I'm talking about, but this would make sense lol.

I just read that PS would be port to PS3 and maybe 360, but to do that the game must first be playable with a controller. What I wrote in the first post is how you can assign the buttons, how you design the controls.

Because these buttons"Left thumbstick, Left thumbstick button, Right thumbstick, Right thumbstick button, Left Trigger (L2). Left Bumper (L1), Right Trigger (R2) & Right Bumper (R1)" are link together, you must be careful when you assign the buttons and make sure you are assigning the most useful actions like:
walk, run, fire, etc...

Depending on the needs of the game, sometimes offensive or passive the 4 triggers (or bumpers) aren't always playing the same role. Usually the triggers, in an offensive game, are assigned to :
- Fire
- Secondary weapons
- Switch gun
- Switch items

Or something really similar to this and the secondary buttons would be assigned to something like this:
- Reload
- Jump
- Action
- Crouch

If the Core Gameplay is more related to movements (passive) it could look more like this for the triggers:
- Fire
- Secondary weapon
- JUMP
- Action

By example...

It's just simple logic that I'm sure you understand, but the point was... so much Devs are forgeting how a controller works and I do not want this happening here with PS.

I didn't read all of your post but it isn't for certain yet if the game will be ported to consoles or not.  I don't think it's a great idea to do so even though I am a console player.  The CT community is tiny on console.  It may attract a lot of players but it's not for sure.

The point is, better plan it now than too late... but you are right... this MOD will be more a point of interest for PC gamers than it could be for PS3 or 360 players, but I know some 360 players waiting another CT like Multiplayer game praying to see Ubi doing another great Multiplayer Game, but I don't think it could happen in the next 2-3 years.

The controls for CT on console were fine imo.  Not sure about PS2 controls but the xbox ones were good enough.  I'm hoping that if this game is good and popular the guys who have worked so hard already won't have to make PS2, but rather Ubi would pick it up again.  That is of course if they learn from project stealth.

I hope they will, they have troubles with their own franchise these days, but are bringing to life cool stuff.

Hyrage, I know your worried about how it may turn out and so are warning us but most of the threads you've started simply require you to use the search utility to find the answers. Almost all things you've suggested or discussed have been posted about previously, most in more than 1 thread ;)
As for porting, it isn't as complex as you apparently think to change the controls (although the actual porting is). Quite a few games make something exclusively for a certain platform and later decide to port it across for other player bases.
Chillax and use the search  ;D

Bionic-Blob

how the hell would it get on 360? it's a mod ffs

the onyl reason iservalot mentioned ps3 is because epic said that it would be possible, but last time i iservalot posted about it, it sounded rather grim.

Ion.67

Thats what I was thinking. The 360 does not have the same compatibility as the PS3 with mods from epic. Plus, I think it is a waste of time.

MacBryce

It's definitely not a waste of time for PS3. PS2 SAM games had a community comparable to the PC version's.

Same goes for 360. The 360 Gaming Community possessed a huge fan base for R6 or SPlitner Cell types of game

Most of them now are on arcadish shooters.  I won't lie.  I haven't played as much CT as I used to and have moved on to some typical FPS's.  Hopefully this game is attractive enough to attract those players away from those games.  It is to me and you've only done the modeling  :D.  And if it isn't, it's a waste of time to port it to ps3 or even 360.  And that's coming from a console player.
