Long time since I last wrote anything here, I still look here from time to time to see how you all are doing with PS.
But now I wonder - anyone still play SCCT (of the known users)? I kinda miss the "old times" with SCCT.
Blackveldt and SITHDUKE play sometimes.
Frozenfire.g2, punisher, Breedic, Ston3coldkilla, stg-Torilla, DreaMz, AgentX_003 ( You play? Didn't see you so long ).
Well, maybe there are more people but I have no idea at the moment.
Most "Old school" players left.
I would, but it makes my PC crash sooner than if I don't play.

I bought the game for PC and have made excuses not to play ever since.

Precise to the point? It's obvious. Can't take a loss, well ain't my problem. The reason you can't get a teammate is because you keep raging that this is CT and not PT, and there are things called Backpack, and you always take a tazer or spy traps and never lay them properly...
Even though I ain't the only one who beated you, Stevethecookie smurfed you so many times and you mistook him for blackveldt which is nice for him because that means he is way better than you xD
I would play but it's been so long it would not only frustrate me getting owned all the time but likely frustrate whoever I partner with. I started the single player campaign again the other day and it's reminding me why it was one of the better of the series (for single player). It sure beats the hell out of Conviction which was way to short and dumbed down.
Ct is so annoying but it is greate game either
Been looking to get a few games together with some people I know, just never got around to do it. Might aswell install it and check if there's anyone online by the time I do, been ages since I last had a good game.

I've tried to play some. But I got some weird problem (only in this game) when I move my mouse to the side, it moves like up & down while moving too the side. Really hard to hit someone because of it.
So it goes like this .-^-.^-.-^. if you get what I mean... I move mouse like this --------- result is .-^-.-^.-^.
Update the drivers? That seems a weird thing...
Try lowering sensitivity or your resolution.
Some of the things also get fixed with 3D analyzer.
Maybe because I have wide screen and this game don't have support for widescreen?

The game is really sensitive with the mouse, first you should check if ReduceMouseLag=True in the default.ini, change it to False if it is. Next if that doesn't help it make sure your USB or PS/2 doesn't have dust in it, since that caused my mouse to start acting up. Also updating the drivers might help if the mouse has any, or completely erasing them too since most work without any perfectly fine. It doesn't really have anything to do with the resolution of a widescreen monitor, I've played it on plenty of different widescreens and never had a problem.
If you're on Windows XP and you try to disable mouse acceleration through the control panel as suggested already, it wont work. It's a bug in XP, you need to download a registry fix instead. Google for CPL Mouse Fix :)

You either have to emulate and have EAX, use the sound fix in SCL forums, or just get really lucky at guessing where the mines are. Also pop your Effect Volume to full (10) and maybe use headphones with full volume, that helps as well. Good Soundcard is a + as well.
If you have Realtek HD soundcard search in google for " Realtek X-Fi ".
With this you will enable EAX with alchemy on onboard soundcard.

I don't remember how to disable acceleration in Win 7, but one question isn't your mouse model low DPI?(Write model name or read below mouse).
Because me with 1600DPI and 40sensitivity will make 360* in 5 milimeters if not less.
I don't know if there is CPL mousefix for windows 7, because I don't use it everyday... you have to google about it a bit.
I got up to 5000 DPI but my setting is att 990. So I should put higher DPI and lower my windows7 speed?

Try to work on another mousepad.. this mouse sensor is so strange...
Use another mousepad/desk/A4 paper or anything else. That's your mouse problem.
Install drivers to disable mouse acceleration. Use more DPI + lower ingame sensitivity = better quality of movenement.
I suggest you to don't go below 11-12 sensitivity ingame.. from my feelings mouse is strange slower than should be.

I used to play with 40 Sensitivity as well, but once I got the SCCT FPS Unlocker, I dropped it down by 10 since it's a lot smoother, and mine shooting is far easier, by the way don't the Razer mice have adjustable sensitivity while in-game?

Nope I got some Ace mouse. But my last mousepad was some very cheap one that didn't work with laser which is why I bought my current one that is "37% better tracking with lasermouse than other mousepads" so it's pretty much made for laser. And I read reviews and it was very good for lasermice. So I doubt the mousepad is my problem.. But I will try get higher dpi and lower sense ingame + disable mouse acceleration when I get time. If that doesn't solve it, I guess I'm screwed.

Btw, sniping works like it should. Nothing weird there.....
Hmmm, do you use 3D analyzer? Have you tried to work with and without it is there any difference?

Put 60 FPS and run versus. Your game should works a lot smoother and maybe it will solve your problem.
But don't host while using this FPS Unlock, your server will be terrible. :)
Hosting whilst using FPS unlock makes no difference, I host using it and people have no problems on my server :P

It makes problems.
Before 4 players on server it's probably not visibile, with 4 players soundloss and warps are pretty visible.
But yeah i played once or twice on server with fps unlock where guy had 150-200fps and I had no problems.
Just a luck IMO.

If you haven't already tried the setting ReduceMouseLag=False in the .ini, I'd try that since it's easily reversible if the problem escalates.
It fixed my problem with a Razer Copperhead and the versus mode where the mouse sensitivity had to be over the roof just to be able to look around, which made it very inaccurate to aim at anything.

Have you tried using the previous mouse? Or you only have 1?
Bought a new one because it got broken so :( But it's only in this game, therefor I think it would be weird if it was something wrong with mouse+/mousepad

I have a realtek onboard soundcard. I read about that earlier so I installed it (but only like 15mb one..?) but now I try to install this but I get error code -0001. Can't find how to install the thing I uninstalled first of all (guess that cause this error) don't find it under "uninstall" thingy.. Installed alchemy afterwards anyway. But still get "Eax 3.0 could not be initialized"
I am not really sure how to fix it, maybe greg can, Also try PMing Mr.mic, he is kind of a braniac on some of those things, dunno.

I think you need to download X-Fi MB software. But you need to catch it from illegal way.
You don't, you can just use the Creative Control Panel. Gives you everything but equalizers.

It comes in the X-Fi MB Softare, or you can get it without :D
The software don't work because the driver did not work. (software is installed but can't open because it's not x-fi)
Any hints? It says it should work for Windows 7. Fail when installing the latest driver (I took for Vista 64x)

Did you guys know people still play this ancient game?
You'd think a group of people would have made a updated version by now. Perhaps with slick graphics and more balanced gameplay. Plus fixing those bugs that happened to start up once computers got too advanced for it's DOS aged, pre-dedicated video card requirements.

So true. A lot of people now play Call of Duty: Modern Warfare than the Modern Warfare 2. It just shows how much they failed. As well as a lot of my friends say Black Ops is just a fancy name, and nothing special. I mean who would want to grind 1000,000,000$ For all the weapons?!
Clearly you haven't played Black Ops then. MW2 failed because of matchmaking, the game itself was better. Black Ops SP lasts about 6 hours, but it's a lot of fun and the story's pretty cool this time too. There's a new zombie mode, weapons, perk options, maps, equipment, and a few other nice modes and other innovations too. The guns are also far more balanced than ever before in a COD game. It's a far more complete package than before and yet it's definitely the best game in the series. Also you don't grind for money, it's very easy to gain and mainly serves to allow the player to choose their own unlocks, improving customisation.
The difference in SvM between PT and Ct was minimal, less change was made there than in MW2 to Black Ops. Interesting that you guys didn't complain about that. It's pretty retarded to target COD as if it's bad just because it's a major franchise. It seems like whenever you guys talk to Agent, you think it's a dick waving contest. Just think about what you say in the future, because you guys actually make him look better than you ;)

I played Guild Wars once. That shit was awesome, I made a guild back in the beta when halls cost like 300 gold each and then got in a 1v1 with some guy and then got points when he quit 'cause neither of us were capable of taking out the other team's AI. There was literally not one new idea thrown into Black ops. Not one. Every single idea came from the game(s) before it. All it added was a currency system and some new modes, which are not too original. Oh, and some weapons/gadgets. The spawning system is also, somehow, WORSE than the ones in the last games (see Nuketown, the map should be about 3 times bigger at least).
But the thing is that I never expected it to add a lot. I have low expectations for the series. After 4 years of the same engine they still can't figure out how they hell to reduce lag. Every single game I play I run around a piece of cover while getting shot at, I'll be a good 10 feet out of sight, the person will still be shooting where I was 10 feet ago, and will still kill me. This happens in my favor sometimes I admit but it's just a lame ass connection all around.
I bought it from a friend at a discount (who got extra copies of Black Ops for trading in a bunch of used Call of Duty games - lawl) so I like to think that I didn't support Activision and this series. Yay.
And I oddly find the game to be fun. Still. After literally FOUR YEARS of the same exact game, only worse in some ways, it's still my go-to game at the moment. It's fun to customize your gun despite the system's limitations. It's fun to create cock rockets for an emblem with rainbows in the background for my player card. My friends all play so we can have some fun together playing, even though we all rage at how bad the game can be. It's fun to go on massive killstreaks because the game is soo goddamned easy online, all it takes is a streak of luck.
It's fun. It sucks. Guilty pleasure. It's Call of duty.

I just had the same kind of "Mouse Problem" when I tried using Pinnacle Game Profiler on CT. It recommended to me that I "Emulate Mouse Acceleration", to which I said "Okay, why not? It's recommended".
That did nothing but hurt me when it came to turning. Turned it off and it was just fine. (Though adjusting the deadzone of a controller is far too damn annoying)
So I'd assume it's still somehow Mouse Acceleration, even though you said you took care of that.

Well, I got Windows 7 and I heard that alot of times ingame mouse acceleration don't get turned off and you need something special to get it off in games.. :)
