Now I won't even have to rent the game because I leave for basic April 12th. I really wish my IP wasn't blocked from the Ubisoft forums so I could at least see what's going on over there.
You were banned? Jesus, Phoenix, who'd you cuss out this time?
brent. He said soemthing about "still QQing?" and I said something about "still being a prick?". I thought QQing was an insult, but apparently it's not as direct or blunt as what I said (I guess I am a little direct and straight to the point. I've never been one for bullshitting around, though), so I'm the one that got the ban. It was my fourth warning and I'd already mentioned I'd been permabanned before... in retrospect I could have EASILY avoided that, but, whatever.

EDIT:Actually, it might have been chaoz

Then I might run into you in your last year if I end up on the same boat as you. I don't really know how it all works, being that I haven't even gone through basic yet.

How much longer do you have? I'll be in the fleet in 2 years if all goes well.

What are you doing currently? You obviously have internet access. Are you on shore duty or leave or what?

Public Discussion / Re: Coop moves Spy/Merc

The Spy acrobatics in DA were really cool, and that's the ONLY positive thing I can say about DA SvM. Unfortunately, adding them into a game like PS that's looking to kick back to the older games, it might be too difficult to balance moves like that. I suppose in return Spies could take less damage, but then you're gonna have Spies that are too fragile. If it were up to me, I'd keep them out. Not because they're not cool, but to maintain better balance.

Haha. That's ok. I'm sure at least ONE person here besides me has a 360 and Chaos Theory. If not, maybe I can divert some traffic to you guys anyway. The word needs to get out about Project Stealth if the old SvM play style is going to live on.

General / Off-Topic / Chaos Theory XBox LIVE Revival
January 07, 2010, 10:20:35 AM
Ok. I haven't gotten Chaos Theory working again on my 360 yet. But when I do I plan on getting back into SvM. I've heard that the CT community is... in shambles, to put it lightly. You have a bunch of "lulz" noobs playing tag and giving hugs. You have elitist bastards on a power trip, and you have people who suck quitting games for sucking. If the rumors are true, good games are far and few between. And the community, while it's still there is, from what I understand... small.

So after hearing all this and not looking forward to a discovery that I have trouble swallowing, I'm going to try and jump start Chaos Theory on XBox LIVE through the use of an internet message board dedicated to reviving Chaos Theory and putting it as close as possible to its prime. If anyone is interested and wants to check it out and maybe start some discussion or whatever, here's a link:

http://z10.invisionfree.com/Chaos_Theory_Revival

I've also put a link to these forums directly in the message board itself, so anyone who finds my new community that's interested in Project Stealth will easily find it (if they haven't already).

I say yes to swimming and water (probably in later versions of public beta) but, as others have said, not in a map-wide implementation. More like a specific feature of a select few maps and no more involved than, say, an underwater tunnel or something to stealthily get from one spot to another.

Why? Because I'm an atheist telling someone to go to hell? Doesn't sound too serious to me. And it goes beyond video games anyway.

Don't try that bullshit. Not here. Leave that to the Ubisoft forums. Ubisoft's dick doesn't extend to these forums, so close your mouth and focus on what these forums are dedicated to. I have pages of negativity about Conviction to discuss, if you want to get into it with me, PM me. Otherwise, shut up.

I'm sure there will be a lot more of us abandoned Splinter Cell SvM fans streaming in here from the Ubisoft forums now that Ubisoft has officially hammered the last nail into Splinter Cell's coffin. I put a link in my signature on the Ubisoft forums, so hopefully people will see it and forget about that failure of a game. I'm an atheist, but I wish I wasn't so that I could hold out hope for there being a special spot in hell reserved for Maxime Beland, being that he murdered the game.

Well that's very reassuring. I was afraid it'd be weekends only from now till I enter the fleet. And then in the fleet it's 7 days of work a week, right? That should be fun. But then, when we get out, we'll be set for life, eh? You especially since you're on the officer side of things. Maybe I'll run into you someday.

Yes, that's what I've heard. From what I understand, any recreational activity is STRICTLY limited to weekends because you're so damn busy in the classroom every day of the week.

Thanks guys. So far things here are much better. The Ubisoft forums are tiring, that's for sure. First scottjames and now sgt_brent, who is an absolute moron by the way. It's difficult to argue with him because he's so stupid. When you start a sentence trying to convince me that Pandora Tomorrow and Chaos Theory are too simple by comparing it to chess, you've just set yourself up for failure.

Apparently he thinks Mark and Execute is going to make the game more intricate, when really it just eliminates any need to plan out an attack on multiple targets and follow them around because when you can clear a room of guys in 2 seconds from a safe spot just by highlighting each of them and then pressing a single button, that's obviously very difficult and engaging. ::)

I still can't get over the fact that he thinks Pandora and Chaos were simple and that Double Agent and Conviction are complex. I guess he didn't get the memo that everyone hated Double Agent because it simplified the game.
