Well yeah, I used to play Ghost Recon 2 all the time, and in multiplayer everybody used the compass to call out. It was really cool and interesting hearing "in the trainyard SW corner" and everybody starts moving there. That was one of the reasons of adding it into the HUD, saying or pressing a callout key (similar to Shadowrun or tagging in Bad Company 2) and pops up "Spy in NW corner of Docks". It could even show up on the HUD when your teammate shoots a spy a few times. It'd help for people without mics and would just be useful in general. But that is just a concept I was thinking of.
Even easier:

if a spy is seen by your partner, or he is being attacked, a message could pop up indicating that the 'intruder' has to be nearby, maybe even stating the location where the spy has been seen. :9

Tidenburg is generally right. Just keep an eye on the forums, so you won't miss it.
Will do. Thx for the info.

yea I'm looking around, I went to a general relic forum so we'll see if I have any success, its gunna suck to spend another $40 on a game we already have.
Why don't you try Rome: Total War? It's pretty nice but also pretty complex.

Good point. What about other off topic forums like the ones of online gaming magazines? Ya know Gametrailers, Gamespy etc.

could you actually read my post? i didn't say that the poison mines in greek are weak, i said that poison mines only work in very special places like door frames, stairs, vents etc

Well yeah, poisons work a lot better when they're hard to disable. The point of mines isn't to completely block up a route but rather to slow down a spy who tries it.

There are really three uses for mines.

a) The slow down mine: This mine is in place to cause the spy to waste time disabling. Whether it's a slow approach to a proxy, or firing a chaff to take out a poison mine. The mine slows you down.
b) The surprise mine: This is typically a laser or proxy that happens to be waiting for you in a place you'd rarely expect. You round a corner and boom. Dead. It's only likely to kill careless spies who move too fast, but it can work.
c) The defense mine: This is a mine that is used to supplement a merc protecting a room. Usually against aggro spies. A poison mine placed at chest level would do this. The spy has to either duck to get under it (slowing him down) or get poisoned. In any case, the spy must choose between tripping the mine or giving the merc some free shots. In some cases it does the same as the slow down mine, but in this case the slow down purpose isn't to slow stealthy spies entering a room your'e not protecting but rather to deter aggro spies from closing with you.

If my memory is correct, you could also disable the proxy mine with a chaff grenade.

The name Splinter Cell is copyrighted so you better strike the Splinter Cell names from the list! ;)

How about "Operation: Silent Storm"?

Or (since the backstory of the game / mod is a bit about it) how about "Operation: Cold Assault"?

Other names I could think of are:

Climatic Assault
Silent Rebellion
Cold Crisis
Silent Survival
Invisible Destruction
Stealth Encounters
Corruption
Day 0
Environmental Espionage
Espionage Next
The spy who pwnd me  (just kidding)
Wealth Survival
Operation: Encounter
Silent Resistance

Or since everything is going to take place in a fictional future simply: Prediction

Yep I did, goodkebab as a matter of fact that's the reason for my question. I remember a lot of people were unhappy with the spies and their lightsources, so I thought you guys are planning to removing that.

There's only one thing I'm wondering about:

This is supposed to be a stealth game, right? But if that's true, why are there so many glowing lights, tubes etc. on the suit? He is - to quote Lambert - glowing like a christmas tree.

Nice work, so far goodkebab - the mesh is looking quite impressive!

What program do you use for animations? Poser? 3DSMax? Animation Master? And what kind of animations do you plan to use? Frame-to-Frame? MoCap? A mix of both?
