this project's goal is to cl**e ct's gameplay on a later engine with better net code, fix bugs, fine tune the balance and create new maps, or did i get something wrong??
tell me one good idea from noobs in ct that you are going to implement in ps (talking about gameplay/balance, not about lobby sys etc)...

According to you, Papa Skull was a noob (note: Not my words, cause I don't know), but he's the one that came up with a lot of ideas (latest addition: Dead bodies staying). And how about the millions of gadget requests...?

We never ever said we would implement an idea, but try or see if it is worth implementing. Let noobs speak if they wish, we only take "reasonable" ideas in consideration, if they come to here and say: "ZOMG! WE NEED FRIKKING UT3 LIKE DM MODES WITH MERCS THAT HAVE SPY POWERS!" or "SVM SUCKS! CREATE A COD4 MOD NOOBS!" do you think we even take the time to answer those or think about it?

The gameplay will differ. The main ideas are the same, but there will be small changes.
hopefully

@Gawain:
You can't expect us to completely copy Ubisofts game.

At first, they sue our asses, second, they sue our asses a second time.

Yes, the gameplay will be the same, as will the main idea behind the game. But there will be different gametypes, different types of servers (perhaps Hack-glove servers), we are not going to not implement those things because Gawain doest't like it.

You seem to forget that we are the Dev-team and that it's our game...
Ofcourse we listen to what the community has to say (real actively to be honest, I check the forums daily and reply to where I feel a reply is needed), but we decide what goes in and what not. Thank you very much.

you joined a project with a clear mission...
i have nothing against a mode similar to scda, but i vehemently defend the ct one. i can't imagine that folks like mr.mic, seefoo, element54, binary, guy_brazil etc want to make dramatic changes...
besides, now you're the one being arrogant: what gives you the right to decide what goes in?? you totally lack any ct experience, and i really wonder about your motivation to do this work at all; maybe for university i dunno but for some players like me this game is very important. this project doesn't want to create something totally new, it's goal is to jump in where ubi didn't. it's for the people that love the ct svm gameplay, and you didn't even play it for more then some hours.

frvge

Lennard, you scare me. You sound like those Ubi-devs. Stop phrasing your sentences like that. ktnxbai.

Hybrid Circle

Why in the hell would anybody wanna make a clone of CT SvM? Sure there are things about it that are better. But take the opportunity to make something different.

Gawain. You are a complete asshole, and you really need to get off these forums. I'm been here a couple of weeks and you've been asshole enough to be banned 10 times over. Your lucky your not on MY forums. Because NO website/forum needs this kind of unrest. This is a developer forum, for us to leave feedback, give ideas. And you're cocking the whole thing up with your shitty attitude.

InvisibleMan999

Well, in the end, the devs are the ones with the job of making the final decisions, and they ultimately have to like those decisions, because they're the ones who have to take their free time to code the thing. While each of us has our vision of what the game should be like, ultimately we can only give them suggestions. The fact is that none of us are actually paying the devs, they're doing it for free. So the game is theirs to make great or screw up.

Hopefully, they take the suggestions that they fit within their paradigm of gameplay and don't get too extreme in changing the core gameplay. But really they do have a lot of suggestions out there to filter.

Denny

I can't get over the hypocrisy here. People want a change but they're still afraid of changes.

They want us to change what Ubisoft did wrong, but they don't want us to make noticable changes.

What the heck?

slowly i get the feeling there are people on the dev crew that have the wrong motivation...
the worst thing that can happen to this project is that the devs want to realize "their own idea" of svm.

Hybrid Circle, who are you to tell me to gtfo and call me an ashole?

The project started with a goal and that goal has not changed nor will it.

Oh, he has every right to.  Seriously.  The change in policy was just posted and you go and try and insult someone on like their first post.  I don't remember exactly how it went but it was fucking stupid to do that.
