True, but I'm sure a lot of them do know what it is.  Otherwise they wouldn't have had their mods at ubi bring the ban hammer on anyone that utters the words "Project Stealth".  But I'm sure that this atleast shows them that people still want SvM, they want a classic style SvM.  Just maybe they'll see the success of this mod (if it succeeds of course, which it looks like it should to some extent), and maybe take another shot at SvM - then our guys won't have to lift a finger for another Project Stealth (unless they want to ofc)  ;D

The Ubisoft forums aren't the global Ubi employees. Their eyes are on their work, not on a mod or their forum, they have specific guys for that and they aren't spreading this kind of info all around the studio.

I already ask the question to a few of them and they do not have a clue of what PS is and they do not really care. The only thing that could matter is the competitive side of talking of PS on CT forum... what is dumb. You can't make publicity on Dev forums the same way you are not going to convince people to buy conviction here or MGS. It's respect...

I see, don't know how I didn't hear about this.  But do some of the mods who talk to the devs know about PS?  Like Rhoulette?  I know she retired or whatever but just an example...

As I said, only a few of them heard about PS [Ubi moderators and a few eployees who enjoyed the Ubi forum I guess].

I hope you didn't think that they all knew what PS is, they do not really care except if your game is MGS 5. PS isn't a threat for them or something they could want to promote, etc.

We have no relations to UBI.

We were investigated by UBI for possible copyright infringements and were banned from their forums, but that was later resolved.  We are no longer banned and they have not informed us of any legal issues.

I didn't think that.  I said that if PS succeeds in giving the people what they want, Classic SvM, then Ubi might see the success of project stealth and realize that people still want to play SvM.  Then all Ubi employees will know about it, if it is a great mod that has a lot of players etc.

Btw, I still haven't been unbanned at Ubi for talking about PS.  Not that I want to go back there or anything.  :D

UBI legal team knows about us,  and the Community Managers know about us.   Even individual employees working on Convictions know about us.

Splinterfactor8

But if a vast majorty of SvM fans dont know about PS how will you adv for this game besides the internet ?

Farley4Fan

That's basically the only way ANYONE advertises other than TV commercials.  And how will the devs advertise a free mod on TV while they aren't making any profit to pay for the ads?  The only way will be through the internet and if the mod is good then people will hear about it very quickly.

LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL
not so sure about this one  ;D, at least...
my friend is working on this game and he didn't know a thing about PS until I show him what PS is. What means, if PS was such promising and disturbing... the word should have been spread among the team, but this isn't the case. They aren't that much preoccupied by their customers as I can see or even the Splinter Cell or Stealth  Action fans.

I do not see any reason to have Conviction employees interested in PS if both games are totally different and using totally two different stealth approaches.

But who knows, maybe there is more people than I know that knows about PS at Ubisoft... more than 1500 employess is a lot of people.

If Goodkebab says it's true then it must be so! >:(

Why doubt it so heavily?  If you made game mode that a lot of people liked, then you fucked it up, then they got pissed, then you dropped the idea, then people took the idea into their own hands, don't you think you'd be interested in that?

Because I doubt he is working for and/or with them. I personally knows people working on annanoncced projectS , Conviction, Campus Ubisoft and Ubi Maroc... and they do not have a clue of what PS is.

For sure, this could have an impact: "Stop fleeing away from PT style and listen to your fans".
