In CT, if the merc is wearing either motion visions or EMF, a flashbang won't blind him. The most it will do is take him out of zoom mode if he's in it. Is that a bug? If it's not, will you keep it?  ???

Spies already have methods to avoid being seen from a merc in EMF and MT. Why would they also need flashbangs, as well?

That's not the point. I'm not talking about avoiding, I'm just saying, will it or will it not blind the merc?

Good idea. I'm glad to hear this will be included.

Most likely what? Blind the merc?

Gawain

it would be toal bullshit to make it blind the merc in special vision modes...

well i think they should be blind in motion vision , since its emf that is the main one that protects against

flash bangs, this has been known since Pandora tomorrow

I mean most likely not blind the merc, like in CT.

AGREED. How are mercs supposed to counter a flash then?

Edit: Read mics last post. I agree.

read my post, it makes sense, because that's just lame if flashbangs don't effect motion tracking, when

ill say it once , ill say it again, that its Electromagnetic field vision that protects against it.

Flash should still deafen the merc regardless of what vision mode he's in, but should only blind him in standard vision.

Do you guys forget that motiontracking also detects light and dark? Dark is red; light is black. Wouldn't it make sense for a flashbang to make the motionvision screen entirely black? I was always sick and tired of mercs whoring that vision, because it countered flash, smoke, and just about everything else.

An upcoming novel by me.
Melonie from SC forums made this sig =D

Gawain

that's why it will be nerfed by not showing static spies so that it doesn't work as nv...

flashbangs should have some more impact on the merc's hearing imo (regardless of vision mode).

The flashbang afterimage is because the light is burned into your eyes; not the visor.
I don't see how you could burn a black image into someone's eyes.

However, I do like the approach that Invisibleman has proposed.
