Succubus Dryad Of The Undying Comet

So I thought about bullet-time in PS.

Each team (eg. Mercs) would have an X amount of time per round, that would slow down the game for everyone.
The other team could then disable this bullet-time effect by using a second or two of their given time.

This could be used for precision aiming/ easier passing mercs by (assuming mouse movement would also slow down) etc
Think up your own uses :P

If you don't want it as a part of the game, ok, but I think it'd be a good addition for new players.

Hmz, I don't know about any multiplayer which has bullettime. Might be in The Matrix Online, but I dont know how that works out.

It's a new idea, but I dont see how it would work out.

The way i see it, is that action slows down and the team that uses BT (Adrenaline Rush??) saps the other team.
Eg. If the mercs use BT, the spies are harder to control/ whatever*
If the spies use it, it makes mercs aiming harder/ whatever*

*Substitute whatever with ideas.

Assume the spies hack cafe out and a merc is coming from exe - the spies apply bullet time to make the mercs life harder (harder to aim or something).
Or assume a lonely spy wants to get past a merc but can't risk his last life - Apply BT and move - it should give you enough time to react properly and keep on living.

Anyway, I'm just throwing this off the top of my head.
Also, Timeshift used BT in multiplayer, but it was only in the immediate area of the using player.

ChickenSkin

I cant see this working tbh, not in a game like this.

Well, i think it's worth a try, maybe a server option (default off?).

Splinterfactor8

thats not a bad idea of mercs get bullet time, the spys can have a burst of adradline rush

excuse my spelling

Roberto1223

ummm i d k about this, i think it could be a good idea it it were thought out more.

i dont find the current ideas of how you would apply this Bullet time thing very convincing, because it sounds a lot like FEAR online Gameplay, which in my opinion isnt what Project stealth aims for.

*maybe it could be a cool thing if it were for spies only, and only for escaping.

because if you guys make it like in FEAR (where both teams have BT) Bullet Time can turn into the main thing in the game, since noobs would start playing only for the BT feature or just not care for the objectives and just play around with slow mo...

Vega

It's a neat idea although I find it strange to add to a stealthy game like PS.

VaNilla

Stealth is about being on your toes IMO and adding bullet time removes that mood.

That's why i said that both teams should get about 5-10 seconds for the whole round (no restoring after death, and it's one timer for both players).

It makes me smile that someone would even suggest this for a stealth game. Slow-mo always sucks in multiplayer games.

No. Timeshift was pretty good.

Gawain

how do you give one side slow-mo without giving the other side the same advantage in a multiplayer game? oO

Both sides slow down, but the side that spends BTtime doesn't get drawbacks.
Eg. when spies use it, EVERYTHING slows down (the mercs turning speed too, but that has to be discussed), and the mercs aiming is hardened ('flowing weapons?')
and when the mercs use it, the spies get some kind of movement restriction or soemthing.

I think it'd be rather annoying to play like that. Idea is cool. but I don't see it working.
