Two Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory Versus tournaments

Hi everyone,

For those of you who still want to play CT Versus or wanna try it again, I will now bring you the links to two upcomming SC:CT Versus tournaments:

- a tournament similar to those that were held before. It has 14 teams so far and still more to come.

- this "Late Night Cup" is being held over 2 days (27/06-28/06). 5 teams have entered at the moment and more teams coming up.


Sadly the PS tournament has never been held but I hope some of you guys who already entered it will enter these two tournaments too and spread the word about them. And frvge, please move this topic of you don't feel it belongs here.  :)

And please notice: damian3k's HUD will most likely not be allowed (thank god).

I always hear about that HUD, what does it do :P.

The most unfair thing it does is to give you full screen when you use gasmask as merc. It simply allows you to run around with your gasmask all the time without the disadvantage of most of your screen being black. It obviously makes it alot harder for the spies to speed cam mercs ect. The mod also gives you a better crosshair (atleast it looks better to me) and does a few other more or less unimportant things.

But let's keep the discussion on the tournaments. I really hope alot of you PS-forumers will sign up!  ;D

I only have the Versus folder on Vista 64 bit, and it makes my PC act weird. So I'm not participating for that reason.

How big is the CT community these days?

Dbl post...any form of communication can be used.....Has no one learned a damn thing. Host will have advantage and lag server. No thanks garbage tournament. The way Spekkio's rules went when I ran the tournament were the only rules that should have been followed. All else is bogus noob ideas at best.

The community is still alive though it's mainly noobs/meds playing. At peak times there are 60+ playing. But it's not hard to arrange some (very) GGs over Xfire. I remember having some with Obscur, Adunix and Snakebit not long ago ect. Sometimes skilled people even joins your server just randomly. Quite often actually.

And, Westfall, calm down. The rules are still subject to change. Go to the forum and come up with some good arguments and tell why this should not be allowed. That's how I got damian3k's HUD banned. And if you've got more to complain about then do the same again or add "torilla" on Xfire and talk to him (or do both). Add fragman14 (NoX-ShareZa) if you've got anything on your mind about the Late Night Cup.

I really hope we can get alot more competitors in the tourney, so move ye arses and sign up, fellas!  ;D (you too, frvge and Freeman - find a solution, fvrge).

All of whom live in Europe. You'd have trouble getting together 1 North American team these days, let alone enough to actually have a worthwhile tournament.

Yeah, well, I can understand that. But would you guys atleast try and make an effort to get some American teams into the tourney (and the Late Night Cup)? I mean, we could make two separate brackets like the we've seen in tourneys before. There're already more euro teams than there were in the last big tourney. So go ahead and find some 'merican pplz who wants to compete in the tourney and have a nostalgia trip!  :)

And don't forget the rules are still possible to change.

Well there are still many good teams playing ...
and also some fake teams which we know from the past ...

I think the tourney will be interesting and I hope some more teams will take part in it
