Using such imperfections is glitching and it doesn't matter if it requires good eyes or experience in the game.

You think MT night vision is a glitch.

Duuuuuuuuuuuuude.

Quotebut the thing is the spy should be able to because he isn't using any electronics
And the spies should go into a guarded area with more than just a silly sticky shocker, but the fact is that they don't.

Like I said, EMF ghosting is not a glitch just because it isn't the way you think it should be.

Quote
Merc visions are unbalanced. EMF has it's ghosting and MT can be used as Nightvision. Using such imperfections is glitching and it doesn't matter if it requires good eyes or experience in the game.
You're missing the point; I'm not arguing one way or another that EMF/MT is balanced or not. What I am arguing is that EMF ghosting is not a bug or glitch.

QuoteSo, what's the gadget/vision counter working directly against ghosting ?
I was about to answer this question when I noticed that I'm talking to someone who puts spaces in front of question marks.

Actually the only thing you prove in this topic is that any kind of discussion with you is pointless, as you avoid answering given arguments and just keep repeating same shit over and over again as if you were talking to yourself.

QuoteI was about to answer this question when I noticed that I'm talking to someone who puts spaces in front of question marks.

What a nice answer...pretty childish
I may place question marks the wrong way but hey, at least I know that Libya is not an European country.

Childish is whining on a forum about a game mechanic because you're too stupid to overcome it.
Quoteas you avoid answering given arguments
What given arguments? You haven't produced any proof whatsoever that EMF ghosting is a bug and/or glitch.
QuoteI may place question marks the wrong way but hey, at least I know that Libya is not an European country.
Nice try, but you might want to have a quote of me saying that before you attempt to use it as an insult.

neth

Still no arguments for direct gadget/vision counter for ghosting ? You may keep insulting me but it doesn't change anything.
If you see no arguments, then read again. I told you how badly it affects the gameplay, why it shouldn't be there and why it is against the mechanics but when we got to the point at which I wanted to hear one, single argument from you, you started provoking. How pathetic is this ?

QuoteNice try, but you might want to have a quote of me saying that before you attempt to use it as an insult.

You said it on scl forums and I remember it very well but I'm not gonna waste my time on searching it.

What does it matter? The issue is whether or not it is a bug, not whether or not it can be countered.

QuoteYou said it on scl forums and I remember it very well but I'm not gonna waste my time on searching it.
You either have me confused with someone else, or took a non-serious post out of context.

EDIT: I searched for Libya on SCLamers, and the only thread that came up was this:

So, nothing which actually relates to whether it's a glitch or not.

You don't actually know what the word glitch means, do you.

It was about Lebanon, not libya

QuoteIs Lebanon in Eastern Europe? Yes. So is his statement saying that some people in Eastern Europe live in war zones true? Yes.

Anyway, it doesn't matter. What matters is:

QuoteI was about to answer this question when I noticed that I'm talking to someone who puts spaces in front of question marks.

QuoteWhat does it matter?

So a few hours ago it mattered and now it doesn't? So let me again tell you why it matters:

Quotegame is created with rock-paper-scissors system, there is no counter to ghosting. For every gadget, weapon or vision there has to be a counter in gadget, weapon or vision that works against it.

As the main target of the game creators is to create balanced game, we may easily assume that they head towards that target and they don't want unbalanced things. We may also assume that when they create a whole game based on aforementioned system, they won't add things that bring disorder out of sudden. As there is no counter in vision or gadget to ghosting it creates that disorder and it is obvious that it was not wanted by the developers but due to their ignorance it was not fixed.

EMF ghosting is a tough one for me. Shows no reward for a spy moving around with his devices turned off. While I understand the argument of "well he must have something still electrical on"...well then, his whole body should be lit up. The shocker isn't the only thing to light up when he whips that bad boy out correct?

IMO ghosting was cheap. It was an exploit, and if you couldn't notice it then you need to have your eyes checked. I could see the outline using EMF, but I stopped when I realized how ridiculous it was. People still used it against me, and it just shows what ppl will do to win. It's a glitch in the sense there shouldn't be an outline of the spy when he's not electrically active. Was there a ghost in PT? I played PT for like a weak then CT beta came out.

So, yeah...ghosting is cheap, weak...whatever you would like to term it and easily...EASILY should NOT be involved with ANYTHING surrounding PS, which Mic has already accomplished from what the PS-EMF video has shown.

P.S. there is no way to counter it as a spy. You would either have to confuse the merc to thinking you weren't there (Museum entrance) or just try and roll through. Good times.

frvge

If Devs overlooked 'desactivated' for 2-3 patches, I'm pretty sure they overlooked the EMF-bug. Having a good EMF-ghosting sniper in Museum is just unbalanced, 1-shot-1-kill and not the way it's meant to be played.

Personally, only after I spot a Spy in EMF who then turns his visions off because he notices me, I try to find him with slightly moving around. That fails > 99% for me, so usually I don't bother and lob a frag which gets me the kill :)

I'm with Spekkio when it comes to EMF ghosting. But seriously, that comment.. LoL.

Hey Neth, try viewing the video they've made of the vision modes in PS.  You'll clearly see they've already taken this into account.

Wow, it's even on the front page of this site, it's like you had to ignore it to not see it!

Therefore, the whole point of this is nothing because they've already fixed the issue.

DROP IT.

EDIT: Typical euro garbage about American ignorance.  People make mistakes, big whoop.  At least Americans haven't been the ones ruining CT with insane hacks and Damian3k huds.  Those euros are assholes.

It's not racist when it's simply true.  Where have all the hacks originated and who are the predominant users?  12-15 year olds from the european continent.

This has gone off track though as the original complaint (EMF shadows) have already been addressed and solved by the PS team.  Talking about hacks and "who said what" is just childish.  blablablabla should just crawl into a hole and die and leave the rest of us legitimate players alone.
