Succubus Dryad Of The Undying Comet

Indeed.
Now on-topic:
1. It could be fun to have the rifle constantly in the 'burst' firing mode, with a... .5-1.5 second cooldown, for balance.
2. Depending on the way MT works, there should be areas where the spy cannot be detected. Same goes for EMF. I mean, if it works by sound, MT should go nuts in loud areas. If it detects air movement, it shouldn't work in places with air circulation and out in the open.
If it's a sonar detecting changes in the environment, then it should malfunction in rooms with eg. Fans in offices, Ventilation fans in factories, conveyor belts moving stuff, and generally, machinery.

i like this.

I think in places like generator rooms where large mechanical devices are constantly twirling and moving, it could make the MT fizzle out.  Yeah.  That would be cool.  And generally these places are electrically pumped, so EMF wouldn't be that effective.  Remember the EMF video?  I'm just thinking of all the cool things this new EMF vision could lead to.  Being able to look with thermal vision down at a merc in a dark room while sitting in front of a electrically charged item.  Nice.  I agree with random person, whoever he/she may be, places where MT isn't effective could work.  Up to mapper, once again.

Well, I could use some more ice.  In my drink.

And it would be nice if you could tell me who Random Person is.
yeah, the room service and bar keeper is lousy here  ;D

as long as its up to skilled level designers like zed i like the mt idea. some rats activating mt could really add to athmosphere as well as give spies a little advantage in certain areas.

Yep, the vision system is awesome and gives the players (and mappers) a million of possibilities to outsmart mercenaries.

But don't forget, visions also work the same way for spies, so a mercenary could stand in front of a large heated object and be unnoticeable (although, persons have a much more detailed heat/emf-map).

1. Remove exploding mines and replace them with poison mines. Laser mines shoot poison darts with whatever fancy side effect the Devs can think off and the proxy mines should pop a thick poisoness like cloud that cripples/slows/paralyzes whatever a spy hurts.
-Reason for this is because in the case of exploding mines, I wouldn't be too happy as an evil genius if my hired Mercs blew my hideout to smitereens.

2. Keep the Tazer and Uzi for the mercs. Also the Shotgun. If not you have to balance every map around 1 certain weapon with doesn't give you as much freedom and also doesn't give so much freedom to the merc. (Though all 3 weapons have their weaknesses so it balances itself out)

3. Make the spies more agile in melee. Few ideas spring to mind like a tackle, when you run directly at a merc you can slide towards him, knocking him on the ground.
Instead of a neckgrab you should be able to quickly KO the merc for a few seconds without having to waste time on grabbing with a swift smack to his neck. But does require the spy to be behind the Merc for obvious balance reasons.

Oh and 4. change berserk so whenever a Merc uses berserk a random pidgeon flies into the room which the Merc grabs and chews it's head off to impress the Spy. After which they both go out on a date and have steamy hot sex and get a retard child which they live happily ever after with.

So buckshot and bullet holes in the walls of your evil hideout is fine?

Wh1tE_Dw4rF

My 1st suggestion was to remove the rifles but on a second note I was like "naah", I mean there isn't really anything that's somewhat lethal and makes it look more like a mercenary then a good o' gun.

monterto

1) a quick communications system a la BF2 for those without mics

2) hackable text communications

3) I think it would be a treat to be able to hear some of the mercenary coms at close rage when you play as a spy.

that last one is just for me  :)

How would YOU improve it if you were part of the dev-team?

I am not looking for things you want US to change, but things you want to change YOURSELF.

Who said anything about wanting the DEVS to change it? You can read these opinions in two ways and you're obviously obsessed that everyone is talking of you.

I'm looking for examples like:

More interaction on the forums,
other color scheme,
more community stuff like competitions,

So small things that are community-related. Not big stuff like having multiple guns or the real game. I'm sorry if it's worded a bit unclear.

Just delete this topic, make a new one and rephrase EXACTLY what you want from them, it's kind of embarrassing.
