Dread is refering to an observer. You could also make A cannon

True that rambo.  Getting surprised by anything is bad.  Mystery armies are bad because they are mysteries.

Unless it's like a massive army of overlords or something.

Try making overlords until your computer crashes. It's like an unofficial benchmark test.
